Altren cheerfully laughed at him. "Let me take that." he took the remaining grocery bags from his hands. "Oh, are you making curry?" he said, gesturing to the ready to cook curry blocks on the bag.
Gwyn just smiled at him. "Yeah."
They both walked in while Zhu Kang dramatically stood outside the door. ’Why didn’t my super villain brother realize he just let the hero in?!’
He got the vibe that his brother was quiet slow in these kinds of situations. He clenched his fists. ’Either way, he is my brother now. I have to protect him from any harm. Even if it meant being fried alive,’
Zhu Kang gulped loudly before entering the doorway.
The house was still the same. Full of miscellaneous items and paper clippings.
"You seem to like Gemini brothers?" Altren mumbled with a side-wise smirk on his face.
He jumped up in front of him and stood there hiding the wall. "Yeah.. we think they are cool.."
"I think so too," he chuckled, and walked back to the kitchen.
Zhu Kang keenly noticed all of his moments. ’Wait a minute, is he planning something to trick us? Anyone who saw this wall will get suspicious. Why didn’t he ask anything more?’
There are only two conclusions for this question. Either Altren knew that they were Gemini twins or... he really was just dull like his brother.
’I hope it’s the latter,’ he hurried to the kitchen. His brother was talking about something random with a smile on his face. Even Altren was helping him chop some veggies.
The look in his eyes was not normal at all. It was full of admiration and doting.
’hmmm suspicious... super suspicious’
Just like that, his brother and the young hero made curry and rice. They even had dinner peaceful. All the while, they both kept chatting cheerfully.
His brother, who seemed so serious, was actually enjoying this guy’s company.
’This is bad. If they become friends, things are bound to get dangerous,’
"Hey, we have to do our project remember," he slightly reminded him.
Altren’s smile morphed for a second. "It’s okay, we can do it another day. Your brother was telling me about his adventures during his time as a fireman," he whispered, and glanced expectantly at Gwyn.
His brother was more than happy to continue his proud stories.
’Man oh man... this is getting out of hand. How do I separate these two?’ Zhu Kang slammed the spoon on the table. "Brother, didn’t you say that you will make me braised beef. Why don’t you make me some?"
Gwyn just looked at him weirdly. He stood up, walked close, and slapped the back of his head hard.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"For ordering your brother around," he then gently massaged his head. "You shouldn’t be rude to adults,"
Zhu Kang looked at him in disbelief. ’Man, I am trying to save your ass. I feel betrayed.’
Gwyn then half hugged and patted his back. "Sorry did that hurt badly."
"yes..." he pitifully pouted.
Suddenly, something loudly shattered.
The Kang brother glanced at Altren with a surprised look. His plate was missing.
"Sorry, I must have broken it by mistake," he leaned down to pick it up.
"Wait, don’t hurt yourself," Gwyn went over and started to clean it all up.
All the while, Altren gave him a glaring look.
That when everything clicked. This guy was not here to capture them or hurt them rather he was here for....
His brother!!! He might not even know we are the Gemini twins!!!!
’Mamma Mia.’ He watched how the guy pretended to be nice and picked all the trash off the ground. He even made small jokes with Gwyn.
’Now everything makes sense. This guy must be in love with my brother. How did he even meet Gwyn?’
’But wait, isn’t he dating the love gel guy?’
Zhu Kang glared at him. This two-timing guy.. how dare he?!’
"hey I heard you got a boyfriend. My roommate kept chatting about you all day," Zhu Kang mumbled, eating one pea at a time.
Altren froze.
"Oh, you have a boyfriend. Good for you. You young lads are always having fun and dating look at me I can barely keep this house together." Gwyn smiled softly.
Altren nodded stiffly, but when his brother went to throw the trash, he leaned over the table and grabbed his collar. "What the fuck are you doing?"
"I would like to ask you the same. What the fuck ate you doing? You have a boyfriend, remember?"
"I don’t have a boyfriend," he glared at him intently.
"Yeah sex friends, hook-up partner. However, you call it. You have him, right? Why are you hanging over my brother? Is that why you tricked me into bringing you here..."
Altren’s eyes slightly shifted into neon blue. It shone a bit.
Zhu Kang backed away from him. ’Is he recklessly going to use his powers here? Most likely, he will reveal himself to my brother. He must know that he hates Alta,’
But his own ideology was flawed. His brother was not aware that he was Alta. And that guy seems to be unaware that they were villains as well.
"If you hurt me, he will hate you," he trembled a bit.
Altren froze. He let go of his collar and sat back down. "Stop spewing lies and shut your face. I have no such partners."
