Eric and Yuna walked out of the client’s house with a huge sigh of relief. The case was much simpler than they had expected. The spirit was not that powerful but since it had been in the woman’s body for so long it had taken a toll on her body. As if now the possessed woman was too weak for them to perform any kind of exorcism. They had to give her a few days’ time for her to replenish her energy via iv drips. As for now, they just put a damper on the evil spirit inside of her.
Eric cracked his neck with a grimace. The long sleepless fight really left him tired as hell!
"Come on my dad’s hotel is close by. Well crash there until we are done with this case," Yuna dragged him back to the car cheerfully. She helped strap him in. "sleep. We’ll be there in an hour or so."
"can’t we stay somewhere close?"
Yuna pouted. "Gramps only allows me to stay in his hotels. ’Why would I have so many hotels when even my own granddaughter refuses to stay in them,’ is what he said," she said imitating his chiding tone.
Eric chuckled.
"plus, the penthouse suit is quite spectacular. I’ve visited our hotel when it was being built. it had a private pool overlooking the entire city~ oh my god, I’m going to get drunk and dunk. Master~ let’s have a fun night," Yuna grabbed his hand and shook him like a rattle in her excitement.,
"don’t. I’m too tired." He groaned loudly, pushing her cold hands away.
"Aww come on. It’s not every day we get to travel around. Let’s have some fun. Our client won’t be ready for a few days anyways."
Eric sighed. "I’ve barely slept."
"You are at level five of cultivation. Didn’t you say earlier that you don’t get drunk nor do you feel hungry or sleepy?" Yuna raised her brows.
Eric gazed at her dully. "Wow you actually listened,"
"Yes, I’m a great student. Even with my eyes closed and I can hear what you teach me. Don’t try to pretend you’re tired. I know you are not."
"Fine. I’m not taking care of your drunk ass when you are rolling on the ground."
"eep~~~ it’s going to be so fun~~~" Yuna hugged him and flayed around like a cute puppy
Eric smiled softly patting her head. With his cultivation, he should neither feel sleepy nor hungry nor get drunk. But after ten hours of maintaining his yin energy as a shield around them, he was completely wiped. even so he did not wish to damper Yuna’s spirit.
’it’s just one drink anyway....’ he thought, pulling away from her hug.
Yuna was a lightweight and would get drunk with just a single bottle. So drinking with her is quite easy and hassle-free. All he had to do is feed her a bottle and tuck her into bed.
Their car soon came to a stop in front of a luxurious hotel.
Yuna jumped out dragging him behind him.
"Our bags." He halted a few steps before the doors.
"People will take care of that. come on. Let’s go in," she cheerfully dragged him up to the reception. "Hi, we would like the penthouse suit, please."
The receptionist gave a small smile. "Sorry, ma’am the penthouse must be pre-booked. But our other premium diamond class rooms are available."
Yuna frowned. "I don’t need to prebook anything."
The receptionist looked at her weirdly. "ma’am we can’t help you with that."
Yuna sighed leaning against the counter. "I can’t believe I’m saying this but, do you know who I am?"
Eric let out a loud laugh. "Do YOU know who you are?"
"Shut up, master." throwing a glare his way, Yuna faced the receptionist but to her dismay, the woman had a confused look on her face. "I’m wang Yuna. I literally own this place."
The receptionist’s eyes went wide as a saucer. "I... I’m sorry ma’am... we... the penthouse is occupied by a guest. I’m really sorry. If you had called just a few minutes ago, we could have held the room back for you" the woman shot up in a panic.
Yuna sighed. "Its fine. Just give us the diamond rooms. One."
Eric narrowed his eyes. "Give me another normal room. The cheapest one."
"No! you’re staying with me. What is the fun in staying in an empty room?"
"Yuna, you’re not a kid. you can’t stay with a man alone in a room all the time." Eric looked at her with a disappointed gaze.
Yuna pouted. "But you’re my master."
"Stop calling me that in public," he whispers slightly whilst pinching her arm.
"Ow but you are my master!"
Ric looked at the panicked receptionist anxiously. "it’s nothing like you imagine. I’m just teaching her stuff so she calls me master."
His explanation sounded even worse.
Even the receptionist looked at them both with a weird gaze.
"it’s not.... Gods..." Eric sighed, massaging his forehead. "Just give us our room keys please."
"Fine, but I’m crashing in at your room." She glared at him and took the two key cards. "oh, and could you get us some good whiskey?" She winked at the receptionist and walked away.
"No whiskey. Only wine." Eric gazed aback at the lady.
Yuna pushed him into the elevator. "I really wanted to take a cold dunk in the outdoor pool." She clicked her tongue softly.
Eric gazed at the alien species. "it’s already cold outside but you want to take a cold dunk? You’re crazy/"
"It’s a beauty treatment. Don’t you know that? it helps keep your skin tight and flawless. It can even slow down aging." Yuna touched her face consciously. "Do you see a wrinkle on my forehead?"
"No, you are a young girl why do you even care about stuff like that?"
"Beauty is not achieved in a day my friend. It’s called maintenance. You have to maintain your skin to remain young for a very long time. We are taking a cold dunk in the pool and we are staying young forever."
"Count me out." He dashed out of the elevator the moment it stopped.
"Oh no you don’t," Yuna grabbed onto him. "You are coming with me~"
