"I know that I’m the better choice. So, choose me! Love me!"
Eric was in utter shock. ’What the hell man... he is asking me to choose between him and himself? Fuck... how did I even get that drunk last night? I really shouldn’t have called out Aaron’s name...’
Yuri stepped close and grabbed both his hands. "Choose me... I will love you more than he could. I will shower you will everything... just... I don’t want you to leave me."
"Yuri... I..."
"Whoa, enough!" Yuna stepped up in between them, pushing Yuri off a few steps. "I don’t know what soap drama you watched buddy, but those lines ain’t gonna work. Eric here is happily in love with Aaron. You have no place in his life. so be glad that he even helped you out with your situation."
Without a word, she grabbed Eric’s hand and dragged him out of the house.
Little shadow who was watching this from behind just shrugged and followed after them.
"Wait... Yuna..." Kiyuki ran to the door. "Yuri, stop standing there like a statue and come here. He is the only one who can save you... You can’t let him walk away like this," she shouted back at him.
To her surprise, her son stood there by the dining table with his back slightly slumped.
"Yuri." She stepped close. "Baby?"
Yuri did not look like he heard her.
"Yuri." She gently touched him.
Yuri immediately snapped awake and ran out the door.
"Eric!"
Eric, who was in the back seat, watched Yuri run to him frantically. ’Fuck....’ he clenched the door handle.
"Don’t you dare open the door?" Yuna gripped his hand. "You once got burned... do not do this Eric."
By then Yuri was in their car. He panted loudly peering at him with desperation. "I will not believe you... and I will not give up. Eric... I will not give up on you." He caressed the glass as if he was touching his face.
"Start the car," Yuna patted the driver.
Soon they were out of the driveway in a hurry. Yuna sighed, leaning back. "God, that was bad... did you see the way he looked at you? It was quite creepy..." she gazed at her master.
But what he saw shocked her.
Eric was full on blushing. His whole face was pink from his neck to his ears. his soft pink lips were raised in a small smile.
’Goodness... I don’t think my master can ever leave Yuri...’
Eric turned his head to the window, hiding his blushing face. even when he closed his eyes, he could still remember Yuri’s face shouting to choose him. He softly giggled and cupped his face.
’Why is he so cute...’
Eric gazed out the window with a soft smile. ’Maybe... maybe I should give Yuri a chance.... maybe this time it will work out.’
Subtly he noticed a car driving parallel to them. He blankly looked at it. to his surprise, the window opened and a foreign-looking man wearing a mask looked at him.
Somehow Eric got a strange feeling of danger.
He watched in horror as the man took out a gun.
A bullet was fired right at his face. Eric hurriedly used his spiritual energy to create a field. It was invisible to others but it successfully stopped the bullets right as it approached his face.
"Get down!!! A gun!!!" he screamed pulling Yuna and little Shadow who was in the passenger seat down.
Bullet ran down like rain.
Their car veered to the side.
Eric hurriedly created a shield around the car. "Yuna give me talesmen paper."
Yuna looked at him, eyes wide open. "I didn’t bring any."
"Fuck..." Eric hurriedly tore his shirt and bit his fingertips until bloody. With his blood, he hurriedly wrote the spell and tossed it out the window carefully.
The cloth fluttered open and plastered right on the windshield of the other car.
The car lost control and started to drive around. The shooter tried to remove the cloth, but he was not able to tear it off.
Eric smirked softly. "Drive fast,"
"Who is that!" Yuna shouted out loud
"No clue. But I’m thinking we garnered some foreign enemies."
There was only one suspect. The recent client they helped in demark.
Eric hurriedly took out his phone and called her. but the line did not connect.
"I suspect something happened to her. She did mention her family has a mafia background. god, what kind of an enemy did we provoke?" He gazed at Yuna with a slight sigh.
"Grandpa can deal with it, right?" Yuna said with an unsure look on her face.
"I don’t think so..." he gazed out. The car had caught up again.
"Down!!!" he pulled everyone down. "Looks like that trick was not enough," he hurriedly tore another piece of his sleeve and drew another talesman. This time the talesman directly attacked the car’s wheels.
The car which was going at high speed suddenly lost control and started to skid around.
Eric chuckled. "Works every time."
He gazed out but to his horror he watched another car driving right behind the gun shooter’s car... There was a familiar yang energy exuding from it.
"no... no..."
He could only watch as the out-of-control car dashed directly into Yuri’s car.
"Yuri!! Stipe the car!! Stop it!" he threw open the door and jumped out while it was still slowing down.
Stumbling, he ran to the car. "Yuri!!!"
He pulled apart the shattered door and gazed in.
Yuri was leaning back against the car seat unconscious. Thankfully, the car airbags had deployed, and he was not that hurt badly.
He let out a sigh of relief. "Yuri..." he hugged him tightly.
Suddenly a cold metal touched the back of his head. "Finally, I got you." The man said in a foreign accent.
Eric tightly hugged Yuri to his chest. There were a few shattered glass pieces on Yuri’s lap. He subtly picked it up, ready to attack.
"You dare." A soft voice interrupted him.
Yuri’s hand went around and grabbed the man’s armed hand. with just a small twist, he dislocated the wrist.
"AHHHHHH!!!!!"
Eric looked at Yuri in shock. Right now, he did not look like his lover. Instead, he had shining blue eyes that were peering up at him coldly. "Yuri."
