Li Miao felt refreshed and more energetic with a cleaner environment.
“Li Miao, do you want to eat something? I asked Madam Qin to make you some eggs.”
Hearing her words, Li Miao really felt a little hungry.
After she finished eating and fell into a deep sleep, Yue Jiaojiao looked at the two babies, whose eyes were still closed. “Madam Qin, you can stay here and take care of them. I’ll make a trip to Lizheng’s house.”
“What for?”
“Zhao Zhan asked Lizheng’s son to raise a few goats. I’ll go buy one that’s still producing milk and bring it here.”
Goat’s milk was good for the body and wouldn’t make one fat easily. It was more suitable for Li Miao, who had just given birth, than meat soup.
“You’ll lead them back here?”
Madam Qin looked at her delicate and pretty appearance and couldn’t help but wonder who would be leading the other.
“Don’t worry. If the goat are too fierce, I can get them to send it over.”
She didn’t have any needlework, so she couldn’t personally make anything for Li Miao, so she might as well lead the goats first.

Yue Jiaojiao had already gone straight to Lizheng’s house without any thought. When Yang Lizheng saw her, he laughed heartily. “Zhao Zhan, that kid was right. You really came.”
“What?” Yue Jiaojiao was puzzled. “What did Zhao Zhan say to you?”
“He told me to prepare the goats. When Li Miao gave birth, he told me to help you take the goat to his house when you come. This kid is really smart!”
The sky was dark, and Yue Jiaojiao was standing not far away from the center, her eyes were red.
This rough hunter had thought of everything for her.
“I went to pick the goat after I brought the midwife back with Dashan.”
As Yang Lizheng spoke, he brought a goat out from the courtyard. “Let’s go. I’ll help you send this goat over. Zhao Zhan has already given us some silver for it.”
Yue Jiaojiao stared blankly at the goat that the older man was holding in his hand.
She didn’t feel anything after a busy day, but when she heard Zhao Zhan’s name again, Yue Jiaojiao couldn’t help but feel sour in her heart.
She missed him very much.
Yang Lizheng saw that she was not following him and stopped in his tracks. “Let’s go. Zhao Zhan said that if you come at night, you have to walk before me. I’ve lived for so long, but I’ve never seen someone who dotes on his wife so much.”

“How was the trip?”
Madam Qin, who was in the room, heard the commotion and came out to greet him. “Did Lizheng send you here?”
“Yes, Zhao Zhan told Lizheng before he left that I would bring the goat back.”
Madam Qin sighed. “I’ve lived for so long, but this is the first time I’ve seen someone like him. Although your father loved your mother back then, to be honest, your father wasn’t as good as Zhao Zhan.”

“Take this.”

Yue Jiaojiao held the wooden box in her arms.
She returned to her bedroom and sat in the room without even lighting the oil lamp.

There was no response.

Yue Jiaojiao laughed at herself and got up to light the oil lamp. She went to the small kitchen to get some hot water to wash up and then lay on the bed.
