412 Kidnapped (Part Two)
After Yue Jiaojiao finished asking, Zhao Zhan was ready to hire a few available manpower for a search and rescue party.
Hearing the commotion outside, Yue Jiaojiao quickly walked out. “Zhao Zhan, take some people with you to look for him. I’m going home now.”
“The two dogs at home grew up with Zhao Nian and Luoning, so I’ll bring them out to see if they can smell the children.”
Although this method didn’t sound very reliable, as long as she could find her child, she was willing to try any method available. After all, it was better to give it a try than to wait there like sitting ducks.
“I’ll get Chang Ning to drive you back.”
Taking the carriage was always faster than walking. Yue Jiaojiao nodded and boarded the carriage. Chang Ning, who was at the side, did not dare to delay and quickly drove the carriage back to the manor.
“Chang Ning.” Yue Jiaojiao’s voice came from behind the curtain. “I won’t be entering the manor. You can go in and bring the two dogs out. If anyone in the manor asks, just say that Zhao Zhan’s restaurant needs them. Remember, don’t explain too much, we don’t want to make more mistakes.”
Chang Ning had followed them for a long time, so he knew everyone in the residence.
Right now, other than the elderly, there were only pregnant women in the house. Yue Jiaojiao didn’t want them to know for the time being, as it would only make them more worried.
“I understand.”
Chang Ning was very fast. When he entered the manor, he first politely bowed to Zhang Lingzhen, then calmly explained his purpose for coming, and then proposed to go over and take the dog.
“Madam Qin can bring them to you, she’s known them the longest.”
It was best to let their own people handle the matters in Zhao Zhan’s courtyard.
Zhang Lingzhen was a thoughtful person, and could always keep the distance that needed to be grasped.
As he spoke, he called for Madam Qin to come.
“Chang Ning said he’s coming to take the two dogs. You can go.”
“A dog?” Madam Qin said as she walked outside. “Why would they want the two dogs? Yesterday, I heard that my lady wanted to take the dogs out of the city to have fun in two days, I don’t recall her changing the days…”
Chang Ning lowered his head and said cautiously, “I’m only following my boss’s orders.”
Hearing this, Madam Qin was satisfied and didn’t ask any more questions. She let Chang Ning take the dog out.
Yue Jiaojiao led them into the carriage, then took out some dried meat and water to feed the two dogs. She then took out Zhao Nian and Luoning’s clothes and toys and placed them under their noses.
“Zhao Nian and Luoning are missing now. When you guys get out later, if you smell them, can you take us to them?” She spoke gently as she patted the two dogs’ heads.
At the end of her words, she was already choking up.
The two dogs barked and rubbed against Yue Jiaojiao’s shoulder. When the carriage returned to the shop, they jumped off and sniffed the air before barking into the shop.
“Madam, why don’t we take them to the back of the shop? Will it be affected if they stay in the backyard for a long time?”
Yue Jiaojiao tugged at the dog’s leash, trying to bring them further away, but they were insistent on charging in.
After half a day of bustling and crowds, there were very few people in the shop. Li Xiangjun and Lady Yun were sitting behind the counter in a daze. They were shocked when they saw the two dogs rush into the shop.
“Boss, this is…”
“They’re close to the kids, so I brought them here to help.”
Yue Jiaojiao didn’t have much strength, and as she spoke, her feet were already being dragged by the two dogs as they struggled to move towards the backyard.
“Woof woof!”
They walked around the backyard, and then they kept shouting from a corner of the bedroom in the backyard.
