Lu Jinghan finished speaking and then left with Han Xi.
Feng Yi glanced at Lu Jinghan who had already walked far away, secretly thinking to himself what a guy who values romance over friendship.
He took a cigarette out from his pants pocket, held it at the corner of his mouth, and played with the lighter with his slender fingers, showing no intention of lighting it.
After pondering for a few seconds, Feng Yi pressed the lighter, the scarlet flame flickering in the air. He leaned over to light the cigarette at the corner of his mouth, took a hard puff, and white smoke spilled from his lips.
Feng Yi crossed his legs and looked at Li Manman opposite him, with a barely noticeable smile on his lips: "Miss Li, are you perhaps thinking of getting involved with me?"
Feng Yi asked straightforwardly; although he had met Li Manman only a handful of times, the impression she left on him was of a direct and efficient personality.
Being exposed in such a blunt way, Li Manman was not at all embarrassed but rather smiled radiantly: "What if I say yes?"
"Then I’m afraid I’ll have to decline Miss Li’s kindness, truly sorry."
The image of an indescribable scene between the two, which Li Manman had just fantasized about in her mind, instantly shattered like a bubble.

The way this was said made it seem as if Feng Yi was very afraid of her.
Feng Yi leaned over and pressed the cigarette out in the ashtray, looked at Li Manman sideways: "Since Miss Li is so insistent, it’s better to follow the host’s wishes, let’s go."
Li Manman smiled, picked up the trench coat from the sofa and put it on, then followed Feng Yi out of the bar.
In the car, Li Manman rested her arm on the window glass, and supported her head with her curled palm, looking at Feng Yi with undisguised affection in her eyes: "Let me treat you to a meal tomorrow, just to thank you for saving me today."
Feng Yi’s eyes remained fixed forward, his thin lips slightly parted: "I’m not really into the kind of girl like Miss Li, let’s skip the meal."
Li Manman wasn’t disappointed or unhappy after being rejected; instead, she inquired curiously like a curious kitten: "Then what kind do you like? Tell me."
Feng Yi glanced sideways at Li Manman, then looked forward again: "Certainly not the kind like Miss Li."
The more Feng Yi distanced himself , the more determined Li Manman was to get closer, for she was very sure that she had fallen for him, right at the moment in the bar when he took her hand and protected her behind him, Li Manman so effortlessly grew fond of him.
Early the next morning just as the sky was barely brightening, Li Manman’s phone bombarded Han Xi, Han Xi was still asleep in Lu Jinghan’s arms, but it was Lu Jinghan who was woken first, he picked up the phone from the bedside table. Afraid of waking Han Xi, he pressed the answer button without even looking.
"Xiao Xi, could you and Lu Jinghan help me get Feng Yi’s phone number, WeChat, and Weibo account? I asked him all day yesterday, but he wouldn’t give them to me. Also, could you ask Lu Jinghan what kind of girls Feng Yi likes?"
