Mr. Lu walked up to Han Xi, looking at the girl’s flushed cheeks, his dazzling smile deepening: "My clothes should be downstairs, could you go fetch them for me?"
Han Xi looked up in surprise: "Why would they be downstairs?"
"I asked Sister Zhang to come over to help with breakfast and bring the clothes as well."
Han Xi responded with an "oh", and hurriedly went downstairs as if escaping.

Mr. Lu smiled silently and nodded, then pinched Han Xi’s chin before going to get dressed.
Actually, he was just angry that Li Chenghao kissed his woman yesterday, upset that he left marks on Han Xi.
Standing in front of the mirror, looking at the marks on her neck, Han Xi suddenly understood Mr. Lu’s intentions. She turned around and went to the bed, hugging the man from behind: "I’ll be sure to protect myself in the future."

He wasn’t angry with Han Xi at all. As for Li Chenghao... daring to touch his woman was as good as asking for trouble.
When they went downstairs hand in hand, Sister Zhang had already prepared breakfast.
Sitting at the table, Mr. Lu took the egg custard in front of Han Xi, scooped a spoonful, blew it cool, touched it with his lips to ensure it wasn’t hot before bringing it to Han Xi’s mouth.

Mr. Lu fed Han Xi spoon by spoon, patiently as if pampering his own daughter.
Looking at them, Sister Zhang felt delighted. When had their gentleman ever cared for anyone ? Only the lady could make him so gentle and protective.
