Chu Ci stood in front of Shi Yu with a cool expression, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
Shi Yu’s large hand gripped Chu Ci’s shoulder tightly, his deep voice carrying a hint of pleading: "Don’t get involved with Gu Beichen, I’ll get a divorce immediately."
The smile at the corner of Chu Ci’s mouth deepened, but a light of indifference shone in his clear eyes: "What makes you think I’d want a divorced man?"
Shi Yu had thought that if he agreed to a divorce, Chu Ci would return to his side, but it seemed everything had gone off track.
"I haven’t had any relationship with that woman, we’re just a couple in name only."
Shi Yu explained with agitation, his grip on Chu Ci tightening instinctively.
