Lu Jinghan let go of Han Guanghong and embraced Han Xi into the villa.
As the door closed, the color on Han Guanghong’s face turned from blue to white; it seemed he truly had no chance of recovery this time.

"Alright." Han Xi went to the bathroom next to the living room to wash her hands, then sat at the dining table: "Jinghan, hurry over for dinner."
Lu Jinghan was standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window on the phone; hearing Han Xi call him, he said a few simple words to the person on the other end and hung up.

Han Xi lowered her head, drank some soup, and started scrolling through Weibo on her phone. When she saw the news on the screen, her eyes widened in surprise: "Hubby, the reporters apologized for that incident with Yan Xiao... Was it your doing?"
"Yep, those tabloid reporters really need sorting out."
Han Xi glanced toward the kitchen, and while Sister Zhang wasn’t looking, she stole a quick kiss on Lu Jinghan’s thin lips: "Thank you, Mr. Lu."

Lu Jinghan licked his lips, savoring the moment, his deep-set eyes unintentionally darkening.
Han Xi blushed deeply and quickly lowered her head to eat; this shameless rogue was simply too crude, always spouting bold words without hesitation.
After dinner, Lu Jinghan went to the study to handle some documents. Han Xi finished bathing and collapsed onto the bed, just about to read when her phone’s WeChat notification sounded.
Han Xi reached over to the nightstand and picked up her phone. It was a link from Li Manman. Upon opening it, Han Xi blushed and tossed the phone aside.

Watching the bundled-up figure under the blanket, Lu Jinghan’s smile grew: "We can’t let your good friend’s kind intentions go to waste, can we? Don’t bundle yourself in the blanket, it’s warm inside."
