Li Manman gave him a fierce glare, as disdainful as could be.
Han Xi looked at the two of them bickering, completely speechless, not knowing what to say.
Shi Yu put down the wine glass in his hand, walked over to Chu Ci with one hand in his pocket and said, "Are you okay?"
Upon hearing the voice, Chu Ci looked up, a faint smile on her elegantly made-up face: "I’m fine, how about you?"
"I’m okay, just that I keep thinking of you, thinking of those years we were together."
Chu Ci took a sip of the juice in her hand and gestured for Shi Yu to sit down: "If you still cherish that relationship, then let it go. I’m living well now, and Fu Bin treats me with care."
"If I had another chance, I would definitely choose you."
Chu Ci turned to look at Shi Yu, her heart as calm as still water: "Unfortunately, there is no ’if’ in this world, we should both look ahead."
"Have you really let go of me?"
Chu Ci nodded with a gentle smile: "If I hadn’t let go, how could I be sitting here calmly chatting with you."
Two female classmates walked over, playfully patting Shi Yu on the shoulder: "Are you reminiscing with our Chu Ci? Back in university, you two were inseparable; how did you break up?"
"Later we realized we weren’t suitable for each other, so we broke up."
Chu Ci casually made up an excuse to divert the question; she didn’t want everyone to know that Shi Yu broke up with her for money, trying to save him some face.
"If I had known you two would break up, I would have shamelessly gone for Shi Yu back then."
"So you liked Shi Yu, huh? I never noticed."
Everyone laughed and talked about the past, it felt like going back to the university days.
The waiter soon served the dishes. Li Manman chatted and drank happily, but Chu Ci couldn’t drink because she was pregnant, and Han Xi didn’t drink because she drove.
Halfway through the meal, Chu Ci suddenly felt her stomach getting uncomfortable, perhaps from drinking some slightly cold juice earlier.
Han Xi frowned at her: "What’s wrong with you?"
"My stomach feels a bit uncomfortable."
"What happened, should I take you home first?"
"Alright."
Chu Ci and Han Xi stood up from their seats, bid farewell to everyone, saying she felt unwell and was heading home first. Before leaving, Han Xi reminded Tong Ze to keep an eye on Manman.
After they left the club and got into the car, Han Xi buckled up and looked at Chu Ci worriedly: "Do you want to go to the hospital for a check-up first?"
"No need, I just had some cold juice, it shouldn’t be a big deal, just take me home."
Han Xi nodded and turned the steering wheel onto the main road.
About twenty minutes later, the car stopped in front of the villa. After handing Chu Ci over to Fu Bin, Han Xi also went home.

In the private room of the club, everyone had eaten their fill. After the gathering ended, Tong Ze helped the thoroughly drunk Li Manman into the elevator.
After leaving the club, Tong Ze put Manman into the car, bent over to fasten her seatbelt, then walked around to the driver’s seat: "I’ll take you home now."

The car quickly stopped at a nearby hotel. Tong Ze got out of the car, went to the passenger side, opened the door, and gently carried Li Manman in his arms as he walked toward the hotel.
