Everyone got up from the sofa and moved to the dining table. The food was prepared by a nutritionist according to Han Xi’s preferences.
The entire meal was filled with lively chatter and laughter.
After dinner, Song Yan needed to head to the hospital for work, so he first drove Zhuang Lian and Meng Meng home.
Feng Yi and Lu Jinghan went upstairs to discuss some work matters, while Fu Bin sat on the sofa in the living room, listening to the three women chatting about various gossip, feeling like he couldn’t get a word in. On the other hand, Yan Xiao was chatting with great enthusiasm.
"I kind of feel like you’re becoming a girlfriend to the three of them."
Yan Xiao turned to look at Fu Bin, "I am their male best friend."
Manman sat cross-legged on the sofa and casually picked up a throw pillow to hug, "By the way, Yan Xiao, when are you bringing out that fake girlfriend of yours for us to see?"
"She’s a fake. What’s there to see?"
Han Xi leaned over and picked a small piece of kiwi from the fruit plate on the coffee table, popping it into her mouth, "We just want to see who this fake girlfriend is, daring enough to challenge that movie king."
Chu Ci chimed in, "Whenever you have time, introduce her to us. I thought she looked pretty when I saw her in the news last time."
"Alright then, when she has time, we can arrange a meeting."
Lu Jinghan and Feng Yi came down after discussing in the study for a while. Everyone was worried Han Xi might be tired, so they all left first. After seeing them off, Han Xi walked to the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room, with her fingers lightly pressing against the glass, smiling softly at the swirling snowflakes outside. It seemed to be the heaviest snowfall of the year.
Lu Jinghan hugged Han Xi from behind, resting his chin lightly at the crook of her neck, "What are you thinking about?"
"Thinking about how you’re going to spend Christmas Eve with me and the baby tomorrow."
"I can’t tell you that. I promised to give you a surprise."
Han Xi placed her hands over Lu Jinghan’s holding her, and as she turned her head, her lips brushed against his cool thin lips, "Can you now... Mmm."
Before Han Xi could finish her sentence, Lu Jinghan silenced her with a kiss. Just as Sister Zhang finished tidying up the kitchen and walked out, she saw this scene and retreated with a blush on her face.

In Gu Nanxi’s office, Han Yaxin walked to the window and clasped her fingers around his, "You used to say you wanted to hold my hand every day when we were in school."
"You also said that was back when we were in school."
"Nancy, I finally got you back. I just want to be with you."
Han Yaxin rested her head on Gu Nanxi’s shoulder, her soft voice carrying a hint of charm.
The office door was knocked from outside, and Gu Nanxi turned his body and responded, "Come in."
Zhong Li entered in high heels, and upon seeing Han Yaxin, a fleeting look of disdain appeared in her eyes, "President Gu, this document needs your signature."
Gu Nanxi extracted his hand from Han Yaxin’s grip, striding over to his desk to pick up the document. After a quick review, he confirmed there were no issues before signing his name.
Han Yaxin leaned affectionately against Gu Nanxi, "Assistant Zhong, can you please make me a cup of coffee?"
Zhong Li flashed a sharp smile, looking at Han Yaxin, "Sure, just wait a moment."
"Thank you, Assistant Zhong."
After Zhong Li left the office, she instructed the secretary outside to send in a cup of coffee, then clicked her heels as she returned to her own office.
