"Chu Ci fell down this morning, and she’s in the hospital now, but the baby is safe."
After Lu Jinghan finished speaking, Fu Bin was really shaken, his heart in his throat: "How did she fall? Is Chu Ci okay now? Give her the phone, I want to say a few words to her."
Lu Jinghan stood up from the sofa and walked to the bedside: "It’s Fu Bin on the phone."

"Are you okay? Don’t be afraid, I’m ready to board the plane now and will land in just over two hours."
Chu Ci raised her hand to touch her belly, and for some reason, hearing Fu Bin’s voice made her suddenly feel much more at ease: "Don’t worry, the baby and I are fine. The doctor said I just need to stay in the hospital for a week to stabilize the pregnancy."
"Alright, let Little Sister-in-law and Manman keep you company for now, I’ll be back soon."
"Okay, I’ll wait for you."
After hanging up the phone, Chu Ci carefully moved her body: "Xiao Xi, you should go home and rest; let Manman stay here with me."
"I’m fine, let’s wait until Fu Bin arrives, then we can leave."
Chu Ci nodded: "Aunt Zhang, it’s getting late. You should go home and cook lunch for us and bring it over."
"Okay, Miss Chu, I’ll go now."
Lu Jinghan put his hands in his pockets and walked out of the ward with Aunt Zhang. After closing the door, he told Aunt Zhang about the dishes Han Xi liked and reminded her to make them light, as Han Xi couldn’t eat anything too greasy now.
Watching Aunt Zhang get in the elevator, Lu Jinghan walked to the window at the end of the corridor, took out a pack of cigarettes from his trouser pocket, and lit one from the pack. White smoke wafted out from the corner of his mouth.
More than two hours later, Fu Bin got off the plane and rushed straight to the hospital without even going home. When he pushed open the ward door, Chu Ci had just started an IV and had already fallen into a groggy sleep.
On the plane, he was worried sick, even though he knew that both Chu Ci and the baby were fine, his heart kept fluttering. But seeing Chu Ci now, he finally felt at ease.
Lying on the sofa playing with her phone, Li Manman looked up at the sound, yawning sleepily: "You’re finally back, I’m going to go home and catch up on some sleep, I’ll leave Chu Ci to you."
Last night, she and Feng Yi stayed up past two in the morning. She’s dead tired now.
Fu Bin took off his coat and put it on the sofa: "You can all go home, I’ll handle things here."

Lu Jinghan held Han Xi’s hand, stood up from the sofa, and helped her with her coat before leaving the ward with Li Manman.
All three took the elevator to the underground parking lot, and as soon as they got out, they spotted Yu Shiyuan getting out of a luxury car with a servant by her side.
When Yu Shiyuan looked up, she also saw Li Manman and her group, walking over with a sweet smile: "Sister Manman, what a coincidence."
"Are we even that familiar?" Li Manman said, casting a dark look at her.
Yu Shiyuan touched her flat belly, leaned in to whisper in Li Manman’s ear: "I’m here for a prenatal checkup. The baby is Brother Feng Yi’s."
Li Manman’s expression briefly faltered, then she returned to her usual demeanor: "You’d better have this baby. I can’t wait to see you slap yourself in the face then."
