After learning that Lu Qing An had committed suicide in prison, Lu Jinghan sent people to investigate. On the day of his suicide, Ji Qing visited him, and before his death, he left a letter for Old Master Lu.
The letter expressed his remorse to Lu Jinghan’s father and hoped that Old Master Lu would allow his mother and two children to return to the Lu Family, and arrange a job for his two children at Lu Group, so they could live dignified lives without being bullied.
From Lu Jinghan’s perspective, Lu Qing An would never commit suicide unless his death could bring greater benefits.
"Moving back into the old house as a matter of course, and then praying for my grandfather and me to agree to let your two children work at Lu Group?"
Ji Qing’s face showed a slight surprise; she guessed that Lu Jinghan must have read that letter.

Han Xi nodded in agreement, feeling particularly uncomfortable seeing the elderly man’s haggard appearance.
Lu Jinghan put down the bowl and chopsticks in his hand, turning to Han Xi: "I can stay here alone to keep Grandpa company. Let me take you home later."
