Ji Qing looked pleadingly at Lu Jinghan, her tear-filled eyes red from crying.
Lu Jinghan strode to the chair, crossed his legs and sat down, exuding a powerful aura that made Ji Qing feel slightly afraid.
"What if I don’t agree?"
Lu Jingwei walked over to Lu Jinghan, crying, and half-kneeled on the ground, hugging his leg: "Brother, my father is no longer here. No matter how big the grievances, let them go. Let’s live well as a family."
Lu Jingchen also came over: "Big brother, I really don’t want to work at the company. If you really don’t want me to, that’s fine, as long as I have money to spend in the future, that’s all I need."
Lu Jingchen and his sister had no idea what Ji Qing was up to, nor did they know why Lu Qing An suddenly committed suicide. He didn’t want to work at any company; as long as he could live at the old house and had money to squander, he would still be the admired second young master of the Lu Family.

Ji Qing screamed sharply at Lu Jingchen, her expanding pupils red and somewhat frightening.
Lu Jinghan shook his head, a careless smile playing on his chiseled, thin lips: "You see, he is so hopeless. No matter how much you and Lu Qing An plan, it will make no difference."
Ji Qing’s heart trembled slightly; she didn’t know if Lu Jinghan’s words implied he knew something.
"Jinghan, your brother will have to get married and have children in the future, and he needs a decent job. He can’t always be a parasite living off the Lu Family."
Lu Jingchen frowned, looking at Ji Qing: "Mom, since big brother doesn’t want me to join the company, why bother forcing it? I’m just not cut out for it."
Ji Qing was almost driven to madness by him: "If you don’t want your father to die with regrets, then shut up."
"Brother, just say a little less." Lu Jingwei tugged at Lu Jingchen’s sleeve, signaling for him to stop talking.
"Jinghan, your aunt is begging you, just find a job for your brother and sister at the company."
Lu Jinghan’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at Ji Qing, with a cold glint in his eyes that could freeze a room: "You and Lu Qing An are indeed biting off more than you can chew." With that, he stood up and walked upstairs.
Seeing Lu Jinghan enter the bedroom, Ji Qing turned to her son with a look of frustration: "How can you be so unambitious—do you want to rely on his charity for your whole life?"
"Mom, what’s wrong with that? I have money to spend without doing anything."
Lu Jingchen shrugged indifferently, his hands in his pants pockets.
Ji Qing was so angry she nearly ground her molars to dust: "Your grandfather is already this age; how many more years can he live? Once he’s gone, Lu Jinghan won’t care about us. Only if you two join the company now and earn your place, can we have a standing in the Lu Family forever."
"Alright then, as long as he agrees to let us join the company, I’ll go to work with Jingwei."
Hearing Lu Jingchen say this, Ji Qing finally felt relieved; otherwise, she wouldn’t know how to face Lu Qing An.
When Lu Jinghan returned to the bedroom, Old Master Lu was still asleep. Han Xi reached out her hand toward him: "Why did you take so long?"
"Just talked a bit with Ji Qing in the hall."
Lu Jinghan smiled faintly and grasped Han Xi’s small hand hanging in the air, tenderly pulling her into his arms: "Are you hungry?"
"I ate a bit too much at lunch; I’m not very hungry now."
Han Xi rested her head on Lu Jinghan’s shoulder: "Let’s stay here a few more days; I feel that grandfather is quite lonely by himself."
