Hearing the sound, Han Xi snapped back to reality, her cheeks slightly flushed as she fluttered her eyelashes: "Let’s go home first."
Lu Jinghan dotingly kissed the corner of Han Xi’s lips again before sitting back properly in the driver’s seat, fastening his seatbelt, and then turned the steering wheel to get on the main road.
Whether it was the heater in the car being too warm or the lack of oxygen from the recent kiss, Han Xi felt her face was hot and red.
By the time they drove back home, Han Xi was already asleep leaning on the passenger seat; ever since getting pregnant, she seemed to be able to sleep anywhere.
Lu Jinghan parked the car, glanced at the girl already deep in sleep, and his deep-set eyes were filled with affectionate warmth.
He unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car, circled around to open the passenger seat door, took off his coat, and draped it over Han Xi, then leaned in to carry her in his arms, heading towards the villa.
Sensing the movement, Han Xi sleepily opened her eyes, nuzzling into his arms like a kitten, with a soft, slightly hoarse voice: "We’re home."
"Mm, I didn’t wake you because you were asleep."
Han Xi nodded, leaned against his chest, and closed her eyes again.
Once inside the house, Lu Jinghan changed into slippers, carried Han Xi upstairs, and laid her on the bed. Just as he was about to straighten up, the girl held onto his arm: "Hold me to sleep."
Han Xi kept her eyes closed, her soft lips moving slightly.
Lu Jinghan smiled and sat down by the bed, his warm palm covering Han Xi’s hand holding his: "I’ll go change my clothes."
"Okay... hurry."
Han Xi released Lu Jinghan’s arm, turned over, and continued to sleep.
"Take your clothes off before sleeping."
"Help me take them off," Han Xi said softly.
Lu Jinghan smiled, leaned down to take off the girl’s clothes, then her pants and socks, as patient as if he were caring for his own child.
After helping Han Xi tuck into the blanket, Lu Jinghan took off his white sweater and placed it by the bed, unbuttoned his shirt with one hand, and walked over to the wardrobe to change into a cotton loungewear set before lying back on the bed.
Feeling the warmth of his body approaching, Han Xi reached out to hug Lu Jinghan’s waist, her cheek resting against his chest, she fell asleep soundly.

At the police station, Feng Yi sat on a chair with his legs crossed, his eyes emanating a sharp gleam through the swirling smoke.
The five young men squatting on the ground with their hands on their heads were beaten black and blue, in a pitiful state, looking as sorry as they could be.
Tonight, after getting off work, Assistant Zhang was just walking to the parking lot when he was surrounded by these people. He quickly jumped into the car, locked the door, and took out his phone to call Feng Yi.
Feng Yi happened to still be working overtime at the company; after hanging up, he ran to the parking lot. As he arrived, these young men were smashing the car windows with steel pipes, and Assistant Zhang was so scared that his little heart almost jumped out.
Feng Yi walked over and patted one of them on the shoulder, followed by a fierce punch to his eye.
"Ouch... you dare to hit me, cripple him for me!"
The man clutched his burning eye, shouted loudly, and those surrounding the car raised their steel pipes and charged at Feng Yi.
