“Xu Mo?” Douglas said, “Impossible. A librarian doesn’t have that kind of power. Elizabeth—it could be Elizabeth trying to take me down.”
He was Prince Charles’s man, and it was very likely Elizabeth targeting him.
Once the headline came out, whether or not he was guilty, his reputation was already ruined.

“Dad, can you check for me who is behind this?” Douglas said.

At that moment, the communicator vibrated again. Douglas answered, calming his emotions, and spoke, “Prince Charlie.”
“What have you done?” Prince Charles’s voice was somewhat cold.
“Someone is targeting me, it’s very likely to be Elizabeth,” Douglas said.
“Elizabeth?” Prince Charles said.
“Yes,” Douglas responded. “The librarian filed an official report against me. Elizabeth added to it, and that led to an investigation. Afterwards, some concealed forces used their power to start a public opinion campaign, aiming to destroy me.”
“The librarian?” Prince Charles asked.
“Yes, the one we met at the library,” Douglas said, his eyes chilling. He could never have imagined that Xu Mo’s report would cause such a storm.
“I’ll find a way to suppress the public opinion,” Prince Charles said.
“Thank you, Your Highness,” Douglas said.
After hanging up the communicator, Douglas’s expression became extremely grim.
