The Speedrun Manual of Miss Witch Chapter 490

Avena looked at Ciel, who was easily pushed onto the sofa. Her emotions were intense and complex.

After a brief moment of excitement, a strange sense of frustration inexplicably surged in Avena’s heart.

It was as if she had to use this “despicable” method to gain a temporary upper hand.

Especially since Ciel before her was completely unresisting—if Ciel resisted even a little, Avena would feel a small sense of accomplishment.

Avena took a deep breath.

She directly straddled Ciel’s thighs and held Ciel’s face in her hands.

To hell with it! A win is still a win, even a dirty one!

Ciel’s eyes lightly blinked, then slowly closed.

Looking at Ciel’s slightly parted lips, Avena’s heart pounded. The great joy brought by Ciel’s “resurrection” finally erupted at this moment.

Avena sucked greedily, but soon, she realized that Ciel was not giving her any response whatsoever.

No matter how she used her tongue to tease, Ciel remained completely unresponsive.

Avena slowly opened her eyes, released her hands that were holding Ciel’s cheeks, and saw Ciel’s head tilted to the side…

She, Ciel, had directly fallen asleep.

A huge, strange sense of frustration surged into Avena’s heart.

It was as if all her earlier “efforts” had not evoked any feeling from Ciel—not even as important as sleeping.

She felt as if she could already see a Ciel who hadn’t quite woken up, looking at her and slowly saying, “Is it over?” “I don’t feel anything.”

Avena lowered her voice, reaching out to pinch Ciel’s face. She wanted to fiercely pinch a red mark onto Ciel’s face!

But just as her hand reached Ciel’s cheek, Avena couldn’t bring herself to wake the sleeping Ciel. She could only gently pinch and rub Ciel’s cheek.

Avena lightly sighed, put down her hand, and slowly leaned forward, resting her head on Ciel’s shoulder. She looked sideways at Ciel, who seemed to be fast asleep.

Not seeing Ciel’s struggling, unwilling, or shy and indignant expression, it felt like gaining control had no meaning… She still preferred the original Ciel—even if that Ciel wouldn’t yield to her at all.

In a few hours, Ciel would rewind time and go back to the past?

Smelling the faint scent of soap on Ciel, Avena slowly reached out and wrapped her arms around Ciel’s waist.

Feeling the other person’s body temperature and scent, Avena finally had the real sense that “Ciel is truly back.”

Ciel could re-experience past and future time. Does this mean the time Ciel spends with me is much longer than the time I spend with Ciel?

Going back to the past when I didn’t know Ciel, would Ciel come find me?

And I, would I, like that fleeting glimpse at the police station that day, fall in love with Ciel at first sight?

Looking at Ciel’s profile, Avena’s emotions gradually softened. Her mind couldn’t help but wander, thinking about Ciel and herself meeting in different timelines.

Avena reached out and gently brushed aside the long hair on Ciel’s left side. She brought her face closer, as if burying it between Ciel’s neck and shoulder. Her slightly cool nose tip could feel the warmth of Ciel’s neck.

“No matter whether you go back to the past or the future, you will come find me… and love me as always, right?”

Avena murmured, as if asking herself, saying something that was out of character for her and something she would never say normally… It was like she was whining.

From above, Ciel’s weak, almost inaudible voice came.

Avena was slightly stunned. She looked at Ciel’s chin, blinked, and after a second or two, she smiled brightly.

“Thank you, I will too.”

In the dim reception room, the two girls snuggled closely together, feeling each other’s heartbeats and body temperatures, until night fell.

Avena gently shook Ciel’s shoulder.

Ciel, who was sleeping soundly, slowly opened her eyes. She looked at Avena, who was standing before her, with a bewildered expression.

“Your Excellency Eleanor has arrived.”

Avena said, reminding her, “She also brought someone named Madeline. She is a Cardinal of the Church of the Savior Goddess.”

Ciel glanced at the system time.

There is still one hour until the simulation ends… It seems they weren’t very late.

After all, this is a critical decision about the future survival of the Church. Their efficiency in holding a meeting and reaching a result within a few hours is already very high.

After all, the current Church of the Savior Goddess is under explosive pressure. They absolutely must seek external help.

“Should I let them in?”

Avena pointed to the door.

“Change your clothes.”

Ciel lowered her head.

At this moment, she realized that her clothes had been changed to a light slip. And the place she was lying wasn’t the reception room, but a large room… It looked like Avena’s master bedroom.

She didn’t wake up even after being moved and having her clothes changed. She probably didn’t sense any danger. Most likely, Avena changed them for her.

Ciel subconsciously raised her hand to support herself and sit up, but the bone vine wrapped around her arm directly snagged the soft silk mattress. Some down feathers also floated out.

She looked at Avena with an innocent expression. Avena gently shook her head, pointed at the vine on Ciel’s hand, and said helplessly, “I’ll have Tara come over. She changed your clothes for you… I didn’t know how to change them for you.”

It doesn’t seem to make much difference.

Ciel originally wanted to just roll a couple of times to the edge of the bed, but thinking about the bone vine on her hand, she resisted. She honestly exerted effort to get up, walked to the edge of the bed, and started changing clothes.

As for Avena, she left the room and went downstairs to continue hosting those two people.

These two were both Tier 4 powerhouses. For Avena, they were people she had to deal with carefully.
