The SSS Ranked Villain's Return Chapter 300

"What the fuck was that?" Kyle asked as he approached with loud steps. "You let her get away!"

"I did?" Neraxis tilted his head with a frown. "In case you didn't notice, she bound me with her mana so I couldn't move. But you were probably too focused on her tits, right?"

"Mana my ass. You were fine," Kyle persisted with a scoff. "I know since I can sense mana better than anyone else. In fact, you were more than fine. You were disrupting the air and making the noise dull so we couldn't hear you."

"Is that right..." Neraxis trailed off, turning to face Kyle. "Tell me. Do you see me?"

Kyle's brows furrowed. "Yeah?"

"Alright, now close your eyes," Neraxis added. "Tell me if you see me then."

Even though Kyle was skeptical, he couldn't understand what kind of bullshit Neraxis was pulling. So he closed his eyes.

Yet just as he opened his mouth to answer, Neraxis simply took a step forward, summoned his Arksteel scythe, and cleanly severed Kyle's head.

There wasn't even a sound—only Kyle's eyes opening as he stared back at Neraxis in shock.

Some people managed to catch what had happened, but it was too late.

Neraxis infused his scythe with the properties of Singularity, combining each of his affinities. Then, with a mere whirlwind attack, he sent those slashes flying toward the remaining members of the Eternal Night.

The moment they came into contact with his Singularity slashes, they were frozen, burned, and destroyed all at the same time.

Soon, the Singularity slashes swept past the corpses they had severed and arrived at the walls.

It was like cutting through butter as the walls simply parted, and not even a moment later, Neraxis saw the ceiling of the Obscura's castle slowly caving in on them.

And all of it happened before Kyle's head even hit the floor.

I guess this should be a decent start, Neraxis thought absentmindedly as he extended his mana outward, making sure everyone had truly died.

Since he couldn't feel anyone, Neraxis was confident they had. He glanced down toward his feet where Kyle's head had rolled, and then, with a mere stomp, crushed it under his foot.

No blood spilled since Neraxis had used Destruction at the very last moment, and then he proceeded to do the same with Kyle's body.

Nonetheless, the ceiling crashed down on Neraxis, yet he managed to dash away in time, watching as the entire castle collapsed.

Soon, a red portal formed, and the moment it did, Neraxis retracted his Arksteel scythe, glancing back at the person who had come out of the portal.

It was Valthor, and he clearly didn't seem very happy.

His gaze darted around until finally, it landed on Neraxis.

"What happened?" he asked with a frown. "Is Amara dead?"

"She escaped," Neraxis replied plainly. "Not before killing everyone though."

"Yet you survived?" Valthor asked, narrowing his eyes. "You don't even have a scratch on you."

"I have a pretty attractive face, I'd say," Neraxis said, chuckling. "On a real note, she didn't kill me because she wanted to send a message... something about what had happened in the past? She mentioned you taking some serious damage from her."

Valthor's brows twitched slightly. "Did she say anything else?"

Neraxis shrugged. "Can't say she did."

All in all, he simply waved this off as a massacre carried out by Amara, and since there was too much debris now, Valthor couldn't check it out.

Or at least, that was what Neraxis had hoped.

As long as the message distracts him, it should be fine. If not, I can always just run away, Neraxis thought with a hum.

In regards to the message, Amara had mentioned that the first time he had seen her. At the auction, right before killing Valthor's clone.

Nonetheless, after a few minutes of simply staring at what remained of the castle, Valthor began walking away.

He entered the portal, and seeing that it hadn't closed yet, Neraxis followed.

Immediately, he reappeared in the sewage headquarters—just this time, there were a bunch of people gathered.

They seemed pretty strong, with their ranks ranging anywhere from B- to S- rank.

Likely the officers, captains, and even co-leaders of the Eternal Night.

Neraxis was puzzled by the disparity in strength between Valthor and the other members.

Are the other leaders also this strong...? Neraxis pondered.

Valthor walked through the crowd of people until eventually, he arrived at some sort of pedestal.

Yet as Neraxis got closer, he realized the pedestal had been built atop some sort of giant coffin.

What made him more puzzled was the fact that he could feel an intense pressure coming from the coffin, almost as if there was a powerful being inside.

Unless they're dead or a masochist, they'd have to come out for air, right? Neraxis thought, his brow twitching.

Soon, both of them arrived at the pedestal, and as Neraxis was confused at what was going on, Valthor sliced his own wrist, dripping blood down onto the pedestal.

The pedestal lit up as the light traveled downward, then extended throughout the coffin in an intricate red rune pattern.

Neraxis watched the process unfold with amazement. Then, almost by instinct, he had to take a few steps back, then a couple more.

Finally, he was as far from the coffin as the other high-ranking members of the Eternal Night.

But unlike them, he wasn't trembling in fear. Instead, it was more like a cautious feeling toward the person inside the coffin.

After just a few more moments, Valthor had to forcibly take a few steps back as the coffin slowly parted open.

Dust shot upward, illuminated by the dim light above.

To top it all off, there was this horrid stench of blood that made Neraxis's nose scrunch up.

But that seemed like the least of his surprises, since in the very next moment, a slim, malnourished man rose up, his long black hair falling over his shoulders.

It seemed like he was still out of it; however, his emerald eyes neatly scanned the surrounding people. Finally, his eyes landed on Neraxis, and for some reason, his gaze lingered longer than on the others.

And just as Neraxis was growing anxious, he saw a popup that nearly made his heart stop.
