Ron said it, and Miste did it.
She wouldn't disobey at all.
If Ron told Miste to train, then she would keep training. As long as Ron didn't say stop, she wouldn't stop.
She was like half a robot.
"This is actually pretty good."
"There'll be no concerns about her not getting stronger."
"When I first met Miste, I didn't expect her to be ."
Ron recalled what had happened.
When he'd first heard her voice and turned around, he saw a little girl with bright eyes, asking him why he was glowing. She'd looked so clever.
"Her nature might have been clever, but under Hongtelan's upbringing, she developed this kind of habit."
"Speaking of which, the members I've gathered are all somewhat strange."
"Nina was once a 'synth beast.'"
"Sally was a remnant of the Guogang Republic, someone I picked up in Yorkshin who had lost her past memories."
"Shizuku had short-term memory issues and was found in Meteor City."
"But precisely because they are such people, they possess remarkable potential."
"People who've had it too easy rarely push their potential to the limit."
Wendy arrived very early.
When Wendy saw Miste behind Ron, he paused for a moment.
Ron gave a brief introduction. "I'll explain the details on the way."
A car was parked at the entrance of the Dragon Dojo.
Ron and Wendy got in.
Gradually, Ron noticed that after passing through a certain gate, the style of the buildings inside suddenly changed. Amidst their splendor, there was an air of solemnity.
"So this is the Fiora royal palace?"
Ron looked around curiously.
In both his previous life and his current one, this was the first time he had ever entered a royal palace.
He'd seen them in videos before, but never in person.
Now that he saw it, Ron could clearly feel the majesty and grandeur of such a place.
At the same time, Ron noticed a great many streams of starlight pouring into the crystal ball, causing its progress to rise at a rapid pace.
After Wendy guided Ron around as a sort of tour guide, the crystal ball's progress reached twenty percent.
When Ron had stayed at the Dragon Dojo for a long time, the crystal ball had reached thirty percent.
The opening ceremony of the Nirvana Festival had proceeded successfully.
But because of the Taris Nen users and the Mingbo Republic's incursion, the first phase ended in failure—the matches weren't completed. There was huge chaos on site, with many casualties.
Even so, this still provided Ron with a good deal of progress toward the Essence of the Observer.
After picking up Miste, Ron's crystal ball progress hit thirty-three percent.
But upon entering the royal palace, Ron discovered that the crystal ball's progress was rising even faster than before, much faster than at any prior time.
"This is our Fiora Kingdom's royal palace."
"Only members of the royal family live here, and they must be very close to the king."
"People like me are just collateral relatives."
"Dominica-uncle is the same."
"But the Dragon Dojo's situation is special."
"All three great dojos are special."
"They belong directly to the King."
"Only those with exceptionally outstanding talent are selected to join these three dojos."
"Even members of the royal family who live in the palace must show courtesy to those from the three great dojos."
Wendy paused here, then sighed.
"Of course, their talent can't compare to yours, Ron."
"Even my talent is far inferior to yours."
At first, Wendy had been somewhat unwilling to accept that fact.
But after seeing Ron's true strength, Wendy had come to view Ron as a goal to strive toward.
Ron just smiled without saying anything.
The driver in front, who knew Wendy, was shocked to hear this.
Wendy was the Dragon Child of this generation's Dragon Dojo.
Among those of the same age in the Fiora Kingdom, her talent ranked in the top three.
If Ron's talent surpassed Wendy's, what kind of level would that be?
The driver didn't dare to imagine it.
Before long, the car stopped.
Wendy led Ron off the car, arriving at the entrance of a huge circular building. He took out the entry tickets, one for himself and one for Ron. The two tickets were slightly different.
The next part about to begin was the second phase of the Nirvana Festival.
Wendy's identity was that of a contestant.
Ron's identity was that of a spectator.
Several gazes turned toward them.
There weren't many spectators at the Nirvana Festival, very few in fact. Mostly they were core members of the Fiora royal family. Under such circumstances, it would be unusual if a stranger like Ron didn't attract attention.
Those in the know gave an introduction:
"That's a member of the Zoldyck family. I hear Dominica personally invited him to serve as Wendy's sparring partner."
"The world's number one assassin family?"
"If Dominica values him so much that he's Wendy's sparring partner, he must be very strong. Judging by his age, he seems to be about the same as Wendy."
Ron ignored the stares and followed the seating number on his ticket to find his seat.
The seat was spacious and private, with an excellent view.
Down below was a huge circular arena.
Ron glanced around and felt a strange sense of familiarity.
"This arena looks a bit like a colosseum."
"But this isn't a Nen construct, just an ordinary structure."
There was an electronic screen above the center of the arena.
The northern spectator section was somewhat different. There were walls blocking it off—private boxes. Not many of these boxes existed, so whoever occupied them would be of very high status within the Fiora royal family.
For example, the King of Fiora, the Queen, the royal consorts, the princes, and princesses.
A middle-aged man looked in Ron's direction.
"So that's Ron Zoldyck?"
"The one who made Zeno Zoldyck pay such a high price to secure a Nirvana slot."
"What's the situation with this Ron within the Zoldyck family?"
No atmosphere-building.
The match simply began.
On the screen above the arena, names rolled by.
Suddenly, they stopped.
Two names appeared on the screen.
In the next moment, two figures entered the arena.
Clearly, these were the two whose names had appeared on the screen.
A figure stepped to the center of the arena.
The battle erupted immediately.
All around, the audience remained silent, watching the fight intently.
From this moment on, the Nirvana Festival was completely different from the contests of ordinary martial artists.
Different from the first phase.
Different from matches in Heaven's Arena.
Chii appeared, standing behind Ron.
Ron realized another function of Chii.
While watching as a spectator, he could use Chii's abilities to record and store the Nen battles below for continuous analysis.
Whether these fighters might be Ron's future opponents or not, having their data would be advantageous.
