The Strongest Assassin of the Zoldyck Family! Chapter 90

Not long after, the second token was found.

This time, it was in the garbage old district.

The cold, robotic figures in this area completely ignored the token.

For them, only food and the young of their kind could attract their attention.

Anything else, including death, was beyond their concern.

The token lay on the cold ground, surrounded by rotting garbage that emitted a foul stench.

Finally, a hand picked it up.

The child was only a few years old.

The people of the garbage old district had an instinct to care for their own kind's young. Once they reached a certain age, they would be driven out and sent to the garbage new district, a place with more potential.

This child was at that age.

He had already been "exiled" once but had chosen to return on his own.

When the child picked up the token, there was a moment of confusion in his eyes, but he quickly looked toward the direction of the Elder's city, or more specifically, the direction of the token's mother in Ron's hand.

The child tucked the token into his clothes and started walking toward the Elder's city.

"Most of the tokens are in the chaotic area."

"A small portion is in the garbage new district."

"But only a very few appear in the garbage old district."

Ron understood the Elder's arrangement.

In the garbage old district, most of the people could hardly even be considered human.

In the garbage new district, anyone with a bit of strength or potential would eventually move to the chaotic area.

People rise to higher places, like water flowing downhill.

Meteor Street resembled a pyramid.

At the top was the Elder's city.

Below that, the chaotic area.

The garbage new district was in the middle of the hill.

And the garbage old district was at the base.

As more tokens were found, battles over them erupted.

The fighting in the chaotic area was even fiercer than in the garbage new district.

This was because there were more powerful individuals there.

Some people even formed groups to fight for the tokens.

These temporary groups were somewhat disorganized, each with their own agenda, giving others some chances.

However, the pre-existing groups were much more united.

Even if individuals from other groups were stronger, they couldn't compete with their unity.

At this moment, a figure caught Ron's attention.

He was dressed in white, in short clothing that seemed suited for combat.

His golden hair stood out.

His face had a fierce look.

Around his neck, he wore a necklace.

The whole aura of this person gave off a strong presence.

He reached up and took the token from the roof of a wooden house.

Ron squinted slightly.

This person, Ron recognized him.

"Phantom Troupe member, number 5."

"His main ability is 'Rotation.'"

Ron remembered two versions of the term "Rotation."

One was from the *Naruto* world, a technique used by the Hyuga clan called *Hakke Rokujūyon Shō* (Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms), which involved rapidly rotating one's body and forming a chakra sphere. The technique was said to be a Hyuga clan's absolute defence, effective against any attack, whether physical, ninjutsu, or ninja tools.

The second version of "Rotation" was Phinks' own ability.

Before attacking, he would rotate his arm.

The more rotations he made, the more power and energy he could gather into his fist.

However, this also placed a greater strain on his arm.

Ron recalled that in the original story, one of the Chimera Ant army captains was killed by Phinks' technique, his opponent being pulverized by a single punch.

It was that battle that greatly enhanced the perception of Phinks' power.

In comparison, other members like Shalnark and even the captain of the Chimera Ant had a more difficult time in combat, with some even suffering significant damage.

Shizuku's performance had been lacklustre as well.

Meanwhile, Shalnark had to use his strongest, most dangerous technique to defeat the Chimera Ant captain.

That battle clearly shows the gap in power between the characters.

Among the group—Feitan, Phinks, Bonolenov, Shalnark, Shizuku, and Kalluto—Feitan was clearly the strongest.

Following closely was Phinks, then Bonolenov.

Shizuku and Shalnark were roughly on par with each other, while Kalluto was slightly weaker.

As a member of the Zoldyck family, Kalluto had decent talent, but he was very young.

Kalluto was younger than Killua.

In the original story, during the Chimera Ant arc, Kalluto was only a little over ten years old.

Once Kalluto reached the same age as Shizuku or Shalnark, he would undoubtedly surpass them in strength.

It was even possible he could become stronger than Phinks or Feitan.

"Has Phinks joined the Phantom Troupe now?"

After obtaining the token, Phinks raised an eyebrow slightly.

Then, a sneer appeared on his face.

Without hesitation, he threw the token far away.

"It seems that Phinks has likely joined the Phantom Troupe already. That would explain his disdain for Elder's City's invitation. Otherwise, anyone from Meteor City would typically look up to Elder's City."

Not far away a young man picked up the discarded token, his face lighting up with excitement. He quickly scanned the area.

He quickly looked around.

After confirming no one had noticed him, he sighed in relief and hid the token.

Then he started heading toward Elder's City.

Before Ron realized it, nearly half of the 100 tokens he had distributed already had owners.

But this was just the beginning.

The initial scramble for the tokens was only a small part.

The real challenge awaited on the road to Elder's City.

Meteor City was enormous.

The tokens were few and scattered.

As a result, many people devised a plan: ambush and steal the tokens along the way.

Ron decided not to focus on the tokens anymore.

As for choosing a butler for Milluki, Ron chose not to get involved. After all, Ron wasn't Milluki's elder; in fact, he was younger and his cousin.

If Milluki discovered that Ron had a hand in selecting his personal butler, it might make him feel somewhat uncomfortable. Even if that was only a possibility, Ron preferred to steer clear.

In contrast, Ron was more interested in the Phantom Troupe.

"According to the timeline, the Phantom Troupe was formed six years ago," he thought. "It's been around since before Killua and the others were born."

"The formation of the Phantom Troupe happened after the chaotic events in Meteor Street."

"Initially, it was just Chrollo, Uvogin, Machi, Feitan, Franklin, and Pakunoda."

"Afterward, it grew to thirteen members."

"Along the way, there were some changes in membership."

The next day, someone had already arrived near Elder's City with a token.

With a wave of the Elder's hand, the process began.

Those who arrived so quickly near Elder's City had more to do with luck than strength.

However, strength did play a role, to some extent.

There was only one type of token dispersed around Elder's City.

However, Elder's City required two types of talents.

One was regular soldiers.

People who fought using firearms.

The other type was Nen users, or those with good potential to become excellent Nen users.
