Qin Jiran silently drank the wine, his face so calm that it betrayed no emotion.
He Mingyang raised an eyebrow, lowering his voice to ask with a hint of curiosity, "Jiran, don’t you mind?"
The unspoken words behind ’mind’ were clear in their meaning.
The corners of Qin Jiran’s mouth twitched into a shallow smile, his tone very certain as he said, "If she wants to stay, no one can snatch her away; if she doesn’t want to stay, no one can keep her."
He Mingyang looked deeply at Qin Jiran and nodded in agreement, "Yeah, that’s exactly the kind of person she is, so you don’t have to worry about her being taken away. Once she’s set on you, she’s yours."
Qin Jiran grinned, saying nothing more. Whether Yanyi was his or not wasn’t for him to decide, but he would try very hard to make that statement a reality.
Cao Yawen, listening to the two men’s conversation, couldn’t help but assess Qin Jiran. There was no question that he was handsome, and his acting talents were universally acknowledged. He seemed somewhat cold in temperament, rather like President Su in that regard, but beyond that, she didn’t know much. So she was really curious, what was it about this man that had led a woman like President Su to choose to marry him?
Cao Yawen glanced at Qin Jiran, then at Su Yanyi not far away, and then at the equally affluent and handsome Bai Qing, Young Master Bai.
"Really no pressure? A love rival, huh..." Cao Yawen asked stealthily, a trace of malice in her question.
Qin Jiran shook his head with a laugh, appearing utterly unconcerned, prompting Cao Yawen to pout. A man who’s not jealous, could that be one of the reasons President Su likes this man?

But Bai Qing seemed to miss the refusal, instead nodding seriously, as if he found it very interesting.
Su Yanyi couldn’t help but twitch her eyebrows. Liking someone might happen without reason, but when you don’t like someone, reasons can always be found. Like this Young Master Bai in front of her, it was simply casting pearls before swine—he didn’t even understand her obvious meaning. How could she like a man like that?
Su Yanyi looked at Bai Qing with a bit of disdain in her eyes. This man has been abroad studying for so many years, yet he seemed to be getting dumber and dumber. It seemed that if she ever had children, she definitely couldn’t send them overseas.
