After filming for three days at Tianxiu Villa, Qin Jiran couldn’t wait to get home. Although it had been only two days since he last saw Yanyi, he missed her terribly, especially since he had no idea what he might have done after getting drunk. As soon as he returned to the city, he called Su Yanyi to tell her he would cook dinner and asked if she would come home for the meal.
Of course, Su Yanyi was very happy to agree, as she had grown to love Qin Jiran’s cooking, which was increasingly to her taste. So, that evening, Su Yanyi finished work early and went home. Dinner wasn’t ready when she arrived, so she changed into her loungewear and, realizing it was still early and feeling a bit bored, went to the kitchen to find Qin Jiran.
Wearing a blue and white checkered apron, Qin Jiran really looked the part of a homely man at that moment—warm, intimate, and comfortable, also making one’s mouth water, of course, because the aroma was so appetizing.
"What are you making? It smells delicious." Just by the smell, Su Yanyi felt even hungrier.
At the sound of her voice, Qin Jiran turned around with a large ladle in his hand, smiling at the gleam in Su Yanyi’s eyes, "Seafood soup, with yuba, shrimp, scallops, and fresh squid. It’ll be ready soon, so don’t worry."
Su Yanyi chose to ignore Qin Jiran’s tone, which was somewhat like coaxing a child. She looked around and spotted sweet and sour spareribs on the table, her eyes lit up and she reached out to grab a piece and put it in her mouth. The sour and sweet taste was really nice.
Seeing this, the smile on Qin Jiran’s face deepened; Yanyi’s childishness was truly adorable.
"There’s Turbot Fish and Mapo Tofu in that dish over there, you can try it." Without waiting for Su Yanyi to continue her search, Qin Jiran willingly pointed out the whereabouts of the food. Su Yanyi gave him an approving look and continued to sneak bites.
As Su Yanyi was eating, she suddenly felt it was a bit rude to do so, and, after contemplating, she scooped up a spoonful of tofu and brought it to Qin Jiran’s mouth.
Caught by surprise, Qin Jiran looked at the tofu in front of him and without hesitation opened his mouth and swallowed it down, even taking the spoon into his mouth.
Su Yanyi tugged but couldn’t move the spoon, and puzzled, asked Qin Jiran, "Is the spoon tasty too?"
Embarrassed, Qin Jiran released the spoon and awkwardly said, "It’s just the tofu that’s tasty."
"Do you like tofu?" Su Yanyi was always digging for Qin Jiran’s preferences and her eyes lit up at this, but the awaited voice of the System didn’t ring out.
Tofu? The tofu in his mouth was tasty, but not to the extent of liking it. However, if it were that kind of "tofu"... Qin Jiran looked at Su Yanyi and couldn’t help but let his thoughts wander. Their recent intimacy and the few times they had shared a bed made it impossible for him not to indulge in wild thoughts—a normal, healthy man would be hard-pressed not to think about it when his love was in his arms!
Although Qin Jiran thought so, he felt shy, his reddening ear tips the strongest evidence of his discomfort.
Su Yanyi, with her sharp eyes, caught this scene and asked with a hint of suspicion, "Are you embarrassed that I’m feeding you?"
Was that question really so blunt, or was it outright teasing? Qin Jiran felt not just his ear tips but his entire face turning crimson.
Overwhelmed by Su Yanyi’s straightforward and impactful manner, Qin Jiran was virtually defenseless. He could only silently turn back to his soup, determined not to talk to Su Yanyi again. A grown man blushing from a woman’s teasing was a truly humbling fact!
