Su Yanyi was clearly very deliberate in ignoring Wang Zhirou, to the point where she didn’t even spare her a glance, which made Wang Zhirou feel even more embarrassed and angry, her complexion turning an iron shade of green.
Kang Zhong hadn’t drunk any alcohol, and he drove Su Yanyi back home. He didn’t leave until he saw her safely inside. Before leaving, he still sent Qin Jiran a message, "President Su drank quite a bit. I’ll come to pick her up later tomorrow."

Qin Jiran couldn’t help but blame Kang Zhong for sending a message about an unappealing cake without mentioning anything useful. If he had known earlier that Yanyi hadn’t eaten, he would have had food ready by now and wouldn’t have had to see that aggrieved look in her eyes that made his heart feel like it was nearly unable to breathe.
Su Yanyi, left alone in the living room, gradually regained a clear gaze, her mouth twitching into a slightly wicked smile.
Picking up the heart-shaped cake that looked very appetizing, Su Yanyi enjoyed eating it. The texture was smooth and it wasn’t too sweet or bland, it really suited her taste. Indeed, Qin Jiran’s baking was the best.
Qin Jiran quickly finished making a bowl of seafood noodles and brought them out just as Su Yanyi had finished the cake. She took the bowl without any politeness and continued to eat eagerly, her impatient manner both touching and amusing to Qin Jiran.
"If you haven’t eaten in the future, tell me earlier so I can prepare the food in advance and wait for you to come back," Qin Jiran said while handing her a tissue, feeling incredibly domestic.
"Mhm," Su Yanyi responded without lifting her head, continuing to eat as she replied. She felt she had been a bit careless, mainly for not expecting the banquet food to be so bad. She resolved not to let herself get this hungry again in the future.
Seeing that Su Yanyi had no intention of taking the tissue and noticing a trace of something at the corner of her mouth, Qin Jiran hesitated for a moment before cautiously approaching to wipe her face.
Even though Su Yanyi was focused on eating, she could still feel Qin Jiran’s movements. Startled for a moment, she felt a bit uncomfortable, snatched the tissue, and wiped her face hastily before continuing to eat.
