Chapter 684: Chapter 722: Let’s Make It Exciting
Tonight Gina Lopez is going to a dinner party, so she’ll be back late. John Brown helped Emily Berns move house, and then went to pick up Little Violet with Sandra and Emily Berns.
With so many people coming to pick her up, Little Violet was naturally very happy, chatting non-stop with Emily Berns and Sandra all the way.
When Emily Berns used to be with her daughter, her daughter would talk to her, but never so freely. Back then, she was like a proud little princess. Emily couldn’t always be with her daughter, so when they were together, she naturally tried her best to make her daughter happy, willing to do anything for her smile. And that little couple, they didn’t dare let Little Violet be unhappy at all, even though Emily felt that such a personality wasn’t healthy. But there was nothing she could do.
But now, when communicating with her daughter, she could feel that her daughter wasn’t much different from ordinary girls anymore. She could talk about the kids at kindergarten, playing with friends, and even little squabbles. That pure joy made Emily Berns very gratified.
Emily Berns asked with a smile, “Violet, how about coming to stay with me tonight since I’ve moved to a new house?”
Little Violet tilted her head and said, “But I need to do my homework?”
“You can do it at my house.”
“Are there fun things at your house?”
“Yes, there are many beautiful storybooks and some new toys at my house.”
Emily Berns had specially bought those things today so that her daughter could stay with her in the future.
Little Violet immediately looked at Sandra and asked, “Mommy, can I go with my godmother?”
Emily Berns felt a bit uncomfortable at this moment. This was her own daughter, yet she still had to ask for permission from Gina Lopez.
Sandra smiled and said, “Of course you can, but let’s make a deal. You must finish your homework, or you won’t get a red little flower.”
Little Violet immediately jumped up and said, “Okay, okay, I’ll finish it. I’ll definitely get a red little flower.”
John Brown then said, “You can’t be naughty when you get there, or I’ll spank your butt when you get back.”
Emily Berns frowned immediately and said, “How can you hit the kid?”
Little Violet giggled and said, “Godmother, Daddy’s just scaring Little Violet. I’m not naughty, how could he hit me?”
Emily Berns relaxed at this moment. Her daughter was like her lifeline; if John Brown dared to hit the child, she would really go all out against him.
After taking Little Violet and Emily Berns to her house, Sandra wrapped her arm around John Brown’s and walked home.
“Brother-in-law, it’s just the two of us tonight.” Sandra leaned her head on John Brown’s shoulder with a sweet expression.
John Brown chuckled lightly and said, “Your sister will come back eventually.”
Sandra blinked and said, “Even if she does, until she comes back, isn’t the house our world for two people?”
This indeed made John Brown feel a bit heated inside. He and Sandra were now inseparable, and although they decided to keep it hidden, having their own private world was indeed quite exciting.
“Brother-in-law, do you know how to cook Western food?” Sandra excitedly asked.
“I do, but I’m not a big fan of Western food. It doesn’t feel flavorful. If you make a little, it’s not filling; if you make too much, it doesn’t feel like Western food anymore.”
“Hehe, just make a bit. We don’t need to be full. If we’re still hungry, we can get something else. Let’s make some Western food, light some candles, and have some red wine. How romantic would that be? Oh no, we don’t have any candles at home. Let’s hurry and buy some.”
Sandra talked more and more excitedly, trying to drag John Brown to buy candles. John Brown quickly stopped her and said, “Sandra, if we set up all these things and your sister comes back and sees it, won’t that give us away?”
Sandra paused and pouted, “That seems like it might happen.”
“Exactly, come on, let’s go home and make something delicious. If you want to drink, have a little. That’s nice too.”
Sandra, though feeling something was missing, knew they couldn’t go too far, so she followed John Brown back home.
Sandra was the kind of person who could always find enjoyment. Even without a candlelit dinner, being alone with John Brown in their little world was enough to make her happy. They cooked dinner together, set everything on the table, and she watched John Taylor without restraint while eating. Then she opened her small mouth, letting John Brown feed her.
“Brother-in-law, this is so delightful. How wonderful it would be if we could do this every day.” Sandra slowly chewed the food John Brown fed her, looking serene and dreamlike.
John Brown met Sandra’s gaze and said, “I’m afraid that’s impossible, right?”
Sandra pouted and said, “Yeah, it really isn’t. If it wasn’t for my sister, I’d totally take you. Now I can only watch.”
In this matter, John Brown really had no choice. His connection with Sandra was born out of a special kind of telepathy, but Sandra’s identity kept her from being like Emma Campbell or Charlotte. Although Gina Lopez might have temporarily accepted those two, with Sandra, Gina wouldn’t stand for it.
Sandra giggled and said, “Alright, brother-in-law, I wasn’t trying to make you uncomfortable. I’m just saying. I think it’s quite nice now. We can still have our little world sometimes. Don’t we look like a real couple?”
For Sandra to think this way made John Brown really happy. He smiled and said, “Yeah, it’s very much like that.”
“Not like it; we are. Don’t you think I’m your wife?” Sandra looked at John Brown with a smile.
When John Brown and Sandra’s eyes met, he also smiled and said, “You… are still my sister-in-law.”
Sandra pouted and said, “Naughty brother-in-law, we’re and you still won’t admit it.”
John Brown winked and said, “In my heart, you’re my sister-in-law. Being with you gives me a sense of wrongdoing, but our actual relationship is like a couple. Doesn’t that sense of wrongdoing add a thrill to the marital connection?”
Sandra immediately laughed joyfully, then squinted her eyes and said, “Brother-in-law, tonight let’s make it more thrilling. What do you think?”
