The whole area went silent.
They were all looking at me, shocked.
Even Erick was looking at me like that.
Then, looking down at him...
"Why? After all that barking, you can't bite?"
"Yeah... he was kind of a loudmouth."
"He grabbed Raye first, too."
"And he bothered him first."
"I hate to admit it, but Raye is in the good side this time."
And it sparked whispers among the students.
After hearing them, I could see Erick's face turning red.
So to finish it off...
"You're in the A-Class, aren't you? I'm from the B-Class, one of the 'lower classes' you're talking about... Don't tell me you're scared?"
I added, provoking him even further.
"Hah! Acting superior just because he's from the A-Class. Everyone knows you're there because of your family!"
"You know you're shit, that's why you rely on your family's name!"
What I said angered the students from the C-Class.
Even their professor were kind of frowning, looking at Erick.
"Ggghhh... SHUT UP!!!"
And with bloodshot eyes...
"I accept the duel, you bitch."
He accepted the duel.
Hearing his answer, I smirked and looked over at Professor Sariel.
Then, looking back at me...
He sighed and walked over to us.
"Aren't you getting tired of fighting?"
The professor asked as soon as he got near me.
Raising a brow and looking at Erick...
I said that in a questioning tone.
Then, with a smirk...
"I'm just here to give that spoiled bitch a spanking."
I said it loud enough for everyone to hear. This only made Erick angrier.
Professor Sariel said, shaking his head in defeat.
"Never mind that... Just get ready, both of you."
And with that, Erick and I prepared for our fight.
"Erick Hutchins from the swordsmanship course, first year, A-Class. I'm ready."
Erick said as he came back up onto the arena, holding a wooden sword.
"Raye Alvah from the magic course, first year, B-Class. I'm ready."
This time, it was Raye who came back up and declared that.
Sariel looked at Raye, head to toe. He was frowning.
"Another one of his antics?"
The students watching did the same.
And that's because...
"You're gonna fight empty-handed?"
Raye didn't have a training weapon with him.
At Sariel's question...
Raye simply replied, nodding his head.
Sariel responded, still confused by Raye's motive.
"Get ready, both of you."
But he decided to move on. He gave up on understanding Raye's mind.
Erick asked, seeing Raye unarmed.
Raye just looked at Erick with a bored expression, not speaking.
"Hah! Still playing the arrogant card, huh."
"I'll show you who's superior now."
Then he added as he placed his wooden sword in front of him.
Sariel began their bout!
Erick ran, rushing at Raye.
And watching him do that...
Raye frowned as he thought of that.
Erick was nothing like Leon.
Soon, Erick reached Raye, and with all of his might...
Erick unleashed a vertical slash!
Then he slightly stepped back.
And avoided Erick's attack by a hair's breadth!
Erick's weapon made contact with the ground...
And Raye immediately stepped on it to lock Erick in position!
"Why don't you shut up."
Raye punched him in the mouth, making Erick stumble back.
Erick's lips tore and bled. He looked at Raye, now much angrier.
"I'LL KILL YOU!!! HAAAAA!!!"
Then he ran toward him again.
Erick slashed horizontally.
But Raye easily dodged it.
Erick followed with a fast thrust.
But Raye just slightly moved to the side and avoided it with ease.
"You're much weaker than I expected."
Raye said, clearly unimpressed.
Erick didn't see it coming, and at point-blank range...
He was hit immediately.
"Kuff... coff... ugh"
Erick was knocked to the ground, coughing.
Then, looking back up at Raye...
He saw him staring at him with a blank expression on his face.
"Talking all high and mighty with this set of skills?"
Raye asked in contempt.
"Even the basics of your Fundamental Blade Arts suck."
Erick raged, cursing at Raye.
He focused it on his legs, and after that...
He kicked onto the ground and used the strong wind of his magic to propel himself toward Erick!
Erick was stunned and couldn't react.
So Raye, with his right hand tightly clenched in a fist...
He punched out and hit Erick's nose with the force of his rush!
A loud cracking noise was heard, followed by Erick's deafening scream.
And to shut him up...
Raye punched him in the temple of his head.
It was hard enough to make Erick pass out.
Raye quietly stood up and shook his hand to remove the blood on it.
And with a shocked expression on his face...
Sariel announced that.
Raye stepped down from the arena.
Erick's unconscious body was left on the ground. He was unsightly, with a lot of blood dripping from his nose, and a few of his teeth were either missing or cracked.
Raye's performance wowed the crowd, and despite being hated...
"YOU SERVED HIM RIGHT!"
"A FIGHT BETWEEN VILLAINS, AND THE MORE EVIL WON!"
The students cheered for Raye.
Climbing down the arena...
"Wow... You told me to calm down, but you went and started a fight."
Devin greeted me. He's saying that, but there's a wide smile on his face.
"I didn't do it for you."
I said to him. Though, a part of me did it for him.
Looking at him, I just shrugged my shoulders and walked past him.
Devin followed and walked beside me.
"I told you, you should be in a combat class."
And after that, the joint training session continued.
