“Best Actor Su, why are you at the supermarket?”
“Best Actor Su, is the girl you’re hugging your girlfriend?”
“Best Actor Su, does this mean you’re living with your girlfriend since you guys are shopping together?”
“Best Actor Su, you’re protecting your girlfriend instead of showing her to the public. Is it because she’s in the same industry?”

Xia Yishan was taken aback by the barrage of questions. She feared it was impossible for Su Jingting to get out of the supermarket with her.
‘It had just been a little over ten minutes and the reporters had arrived?
‘How are they so swift?’
She tried to get out of the jacket, but Su Jingting held onto her. “Be good. Don’t move.”
Xia Yishan kept still, allowing him to shield her.
Su Jingting looked terrible facing the reporters’ queries. There were more and more people watching. Some even dared to crowd around the two of them.
Su Jingting appeared increasingly grimmer. He was dutifully guarding Xia Yishan even though they were shoved to the corner of the wall.
Clearly, he was not in the mood to answer any of the questions raised by the reporters.
The fans and onlookers were excited. He would easily create a bigger stir as soon as he spoke. The situation was starting to get out of control.
Suddenly, there was a commotion at the supermarket’s entrance. Two rows of bodyguards dashed in, flanking Su Jingting and Xia Yishan. At the head was Assistant Sun.
Su Jingting carried Xia Yishan, ignoring the screaming fans and the journalists’ questions.
He only removed the jacket after putting her in the car.
Her hair was a bit messy, and she was a little flushed. Seeing Su Jingting staring at her, she spoke incoherently, “Best Actor Su, your jacket has good breathability…”
“Hehe…” Assistant Sun failed to hold back his laughter as he drove them.
“I’m sorry…” Xia Yishan apologized immediately.
Assistant Sun was puzzled that she changed so quickly. Su Jingting did not look surprised at all, as if he had expected everything to happen.
“I shouldn’t have taken you to the supermarket like that. I’ve caused you trouble.”
“Don’t worry about it.” Su Jingting grabbed her head and placed it on his shoulder. “It’s my fault for not arranging it properly.”
“But…”
“Although I’m a public figure, I’m just an ordinary man. I’ll do my best to satisfy all of your needs…”
Xia Yishan sighed. “I had a cart full of groceries. What are we having for dinner when we don’t have any of it?”
Su Jingting was speechless.
Assistant Sun interrupted weakly, “Ms. Xia, I’ve ordered someone to purchase everything in your cart. They’re in the car behind us.”
Xia Yishan was dumbfounded.
He secretly gave Su Jingting a thumbs up. ‘How is it possible that such a smart assistant existed?!’
As they returned to the villa at Imperial View Garden, Xia Yishan seemed troubled when she got out of the car.
She did not see that so many bodyguards rescued them earlier.
As Su Jingting took the shopping bags, he asked “What’s wrong?”
“Should we get more groceries? We don’t have enough for so many people!!!”
Su Jingting looked over, and Assistant Sun responded immediately, “You’re too kind, Ms. Xia. We still have a lot of work to do. We won’t be staying. Goodbye.”
He led the many bodyguards to the cars and departed. Within a minute, there was no sign of any of them.
Su Jingting and Xia Yishan were the only ones left.
“I suppose all of them are from the company? They’re so nice. Aren’t they going to stay for dinner since they helped us? I feel terrible!”
“They’re very busy. I’ll thank them some other time. Let’s cook now. I’m hungry…” Su Jingting held the shopping bags in one hand while the other held her hand as they walked into the house…
