Jing Yan hastily raised his longsword in front of him.
Glaring blue light surged on the blade.
Elder Yin’s silver glow, like a meteor, struck heavily upon the blue light.
One could see with their naked eye, the blue halo shattering into fragments, dissipating into nothingness. In merely the blink of an eye, Elder Yin’s fists had struck heavily upon the longsword in Jing Yan’s hands.
And Jing Yan’s body was directly sent flying.
With a "puff," Jing Yan spat out a mouthful of fresh blood.
"This old man’s strength is too formidable, just the attack power alone is almost on par with the puppet in the palace room. But when it comes to attack technique, that puppet is far inferior to this old man," Jing Yan’s thoughts were racing manically.
While battling the puppet, Jing Yan could hold out for a while. But fighting against Elder Yin, Jing Yan found it very difficult to withstand him head-on.

Elder Yin was very close to Jing Yan.
Although he saw Jing Yan throw something at him, he was a tad too slow to react. With only a few meters separating them, there was no way for Elder Yin to completely avoid it.
The Micro Array was activated, a surge of energy enveloped Elder Yin, and instantly, sand and rocks flew, darkening the skies.
Seeing this, Jing Yan finally exhaled in relief, successful!
One reason Jing Yan didn’t initially use the Array Plate against Elder Yin was due to consideration. Elder Yin was too strong and too fast; Jing Yan had no absolute confidence that a Micro Array could entrap Elder Yin. If he failed the first attempt, then Elder Yin would be on guard, making a second attempt even less likely to succeed.
Therefore, Jing Yan had been biding his time all along, feigning weakness to ensure a sure strike when it counted.
Elder Yin indeed fell for it, thinking Jing Yan was at his wit’s end, thus lowering his guard significantly, which led him into Jing Yan’s trap, ensnaring himself within the Trapping Array.
To increase his chances of success, this Trapping Array wasn’t even an Intermediate Array but a Low-level Array Formation. Intermediate Arrays were more powerful but took longer to activate, and he feared Elder Yin might escape. Thus, he chose to use a Low-level Trapping Array to temporarily detain Elder Yin.
"Crafty brat, to think you have a Micro Array up your sleeve!" Elder Yin realized he had been fooled as soon as he was trapped within the Array, but he was not overly concerned.
Initially, he was shocked when he was caught within the Array. However, he soon relaxed.
Though he was not an Array Master, he could still sense the strength of the Formation. This Formation couldn’t trap him for long; with brute force, it would take him only a few breaths to break free.
"Break for me!" Elder Yin roared in anger, his fists pounding relentlessly, emitting thunderous booms. And the Low-level Trapping Array was on the brink of collapse under his tremendous force.
"Old man, since you’re trapped, don’t even think about getting out of there any time soon. Just stay put like a good boy," Jing Yan said with a slight smile.
He flipped his palm, and several Array Plates appeared, each activated in quick succession, throwing them towards Elder Yin. Before Elder Yin had been trapped, Jing Yan would not have dared to do so, but now it was different. Elder Yin, temporarily detained by the Array, was practically a sitting duck; Jing Yan could hit him with the Micro Arrays even with his eyes closed.
During his years in Lanqu County City, Jing Yan had created quite a few of these various Micro Arrays.
In just a short time, over ten Low-level Micro Arrays had been activated on and around Elder Yin’s body. Most of them were Trapping Arrays, but there were also a few Attack Formations among them.
For a moment, the wind howled and energy attacks like flames and meteors constantly bombarded Elder Yin.
"Damn brat, how dare you set a trap for me, once I get out, I will tear you to pieces!" Elder Yin wasn’t calm anymore, roaring with rage inside, channeling his Primordial Energy to the limit, trying to break the Formation and burst out.
But with so many Arrays creating multiple layers of hindrance, escaping was not so easy.
"Old fossil, just enjoy your stay in there for a while!" Jing Yan chuckled.
He spread out his hand, a dark crimson Array Plate appeared. This Array Plate was different from the ones thrown earlier; it was specially made by Jing Yan before he returned to Lanqu County with Gu Xinghe and Elder Yin, in case the two of them turned hostile and attacked.
It was an Intermediate Trapping Array, and it was very powerful.
Primordial Power was channeled to activate the Trapping Array, and Jing Yan smiled faintly before throwing it beside Elder Yin.
With this Intermediate Trapping Array, it would be even more difficult for Elder Yin to escape.
After finishing his task, Jing Yan turned his gaze and smiled mockingly at Gu Xinghe, who was already looking somewhat green in the face and preparing to flee.

Initially, Jing Yan didn’t really want to fall out with Gu Xinghe, as the Gu Family’s influence was indeed something Jing Yan currently could not contend with.
