Jiang Ying lowered his head and looked at her gently. His face had an indulgent look filled with helplessness. “I know you are Dai’er. You are avoiding me because I made you angry. However, I apologize. Now come home with me.”
Feng Tianlan was smirking in her heart. To him, peeling her skin off was just making her angry. He had skinned her alive. Did he think she would forgive him just because he apologized?
How ridiculous!
“Alright. I accept your apology on behalf of your Dai’er. Now move aside.”
Jiang Ying wanted to grab Feng Tianlan’s hand, however, just as he reached out his hand, he felt a sudden chill on his hand. His hand had been frozen by her Ice Element. He applied some spiritual force onto his hand and the ice melted instantly.
“Take your filthy hands off me!” Feng Tianlan took a step back. Her eyes were extremely cold and appeared to have a sheen of frost over it.
Jiang Ying didn’t force her, since he was just acting after all. “You are Dai’er. Stop throwing tantrums with me.”
Feng Tianlan glanced at him without another word. She looked in the direction of the sea as she listened closely to the sounds of the fight. She was afraid to hear that Mobai was the one at a disadvantage.
“Dai’er, I don’t know why but I was bewitched by Ya’er that time, and I hurt you as a result. It was not my intention to do so.” Jiang Ying glanced at Feng Tianlan who still did not budge. He continued, “When I regained my senses, you were gone. Even the whole Shen Family was different.”
He looked at Feng Tianlan who did not relent as he spoke. He was quite impatient but Ya’er wanted him to interrogate her thoroughly, so he had to bear it.
“I wanted to avenge you, but I couldn’t find any evidence. Currently, I am staying by Ya’er side just to confuse her and get a chance to enact my revenge. I just…didn’t expect to receive the news of you being alive.”
Feng Tianlan seemed not to have heard a thing he said. She kept looking at the sea anxiously. She was itching to rush over and have a look at the situation.
Jiang Ying stepped in front of her. He put his hand on his heart and looked at her with affection. “Dai’er, ever since you were gone, I feel empty inside, like a dead person, until the moment I met you again. I knew that you are my Dai’er because my heart started beating again.”
Feng Tianlan only felt disgusted hearing those words. If she hadn’t paid the price of death to see his true nature, she would never have realized that he had such a disgusting façade.
Jiang Ying took a step forward and she took a step backward. She was not going to let him come closer than an inch away from her.
After she took a few steps back, Jiang Ying finally stopped approaching her. He looked into the cold face of Feng Tianlan who was showing signs of faint anger. “Dai’er, I didn’t hurt you on purpose. The mastermind was Ya’er. To make up for the hurt I’ve caused you, I will kill her to resolve the hatred in my heart.”
Feng Tianlan was still straining her ears to hear what little she could of the commotion on the beach. She didn’t even look at him. It was as if she didn’t even register what he was saying.
“Ya’er is going to marry the crown prince. So follow me home and let’s reveal the truth to stop them from getting married. If she becomes the crown princess, it would be hard for us to get our revenge.” She cared a lot about Xi Jin. Jiang Ying believed that considering what happened in her previous life, she would definitely not let Xi Jin marry Ya’er.
If she was the real deal, she would definitely stop this from happening.
“Why? They’re like Romeo and Juliet. They are perfect for each other,” Feng Tianlan said, blessing them in a cold voice. “Are you done now? Can I leave?”
