Xi Jin clenched his fists and turned his gaze to the sky. The round moon hung high while Dai’er’s smiling face seemed to appear in the moonlight. It made his heart ache. It was so painful that he found it difficult to breathe.
“I, a stately prince, had my wedding called off my wedding day. It was an utter loss of face. I’m already showing leniency by treating her this way,” Xi Jin said coldly. Compared with Dai’er’s death, these things were as simple as tickling someone for Shen Yunya.
As for the matter of Dai’er, he did not want to say it. Or at least, he did not want to speak about it to others.

Feng Tianlan obviously did not believe his words. She asked, “Is that really the case?”

Feng Tianlan reached out to lift up her hair, which was blown around by the night breeze, and looked at the mother and daughter in front of her. She looked at the disgusting faces of the younger woman, who had ordered her to get out of the carriage to talk, and the older woman. The former had spoken to her in the tone of voice an elder concerned about the younger generation would use.
“Dai’er?” Feng Tianlan mockingly sneered at Shen Yunya and said, “Ya’er, do you want everyone to know that Shen Qingdai is back?”
“Mother, don’t call her that in the future. She is Feng Tianlan, and she still is Feng Tianlan now,” said Shen Yunya through clenched teeth.
