"Will I still be Queen when you are finished leading the demons?" Amelia asked as there didn’t seem to be a need for a Queen then. "Won’t the demons living on the mountain want to venture out of the mountain and explore the world freely?"
"You will be Queen before and after. If the North does not satisfy you, you can sit on the Blackwell throne. It is what you always wanted," Killian replied.
"It is what I wanted, but I’ve gotten used to the north and I like it here. No matter how scary some of the demons look. If Fraser will die, the Blackwell throne will need our attention most. What about turning the North and Blackwell land into one giant kingdom we rule over? If we have two children, one can rule the castle in the north as a Lord while the other rules the Blackwell throne. It has been done before by a king who conquered many lands," said Amelia.
"If that is what you want, so be it." Killian thought it was better than placing someone on the Blackwell throne while they stayed in the north, awaiting having a child they could seat on the throne. He felt sorry for Alastor who would have a lot more work to do in the future.
"Spoiled by a demon. I want to become a demon before your plans with Lucifer start. Before we go down to speak with Fraser if it is possible. The days will become dangerous and I would prefer if I had the advantage of demon strength or whatever you have, to keep me protected. I am worried about the pain you speak of, but I am willing to go through with it now," Amelia said, looking up at Killian who seemed hesitant.
She mentioned wanting to become a demon before so what was with this look now?
"We were to leave to see your cousin in a day’s time. If I were to start turning you into a demon, it will not finish in time for you to be able to stand before your cousin without screaming in pain. It is a painful experience that can last days depending on how your body takes the change. We would need to push back traveling to see your cousin-"
"Then let us do that. We should start on it after dinner and get Lucifer to do it. I will be fine and if something were to start going wrong, I trust that you would save me," Amelia smiled.
"Though I like the idea of you becoming a demon, know that I wouldn’t mind if you were to stay a human," Killian stated since he had taken an interest in Amelia as she was now and didn’t need her to change.
"I know since you did not pressure me into becoming one at any point. The reality is that my life as a human is fragile and we cannot deny that the world will be full of danger soon. We will not see each other for a while when you leave with everyone. I will be lonely in the castle," Amelia said, pouting to try to appear sad.
"Is this your way of trying to get me to stay? You will have to do better than that. Try clinging to my arm with teary eyes and calling my name sweetly. Or take me to bed and tie me up," Killian listed a few suggestions. "The last one would be most effective in my eyes. Give it a try when we return to the castle."
"Of course, it would be effective in your eyes, you horny demon," Amelia muttered, looking away from Killian.
"I will be gone for days, even weeks, when the time comes. You should have your fill of me now. You are always free to have your way with me when you are ready. I would not stop you," said Killian.
"Haven’t I told you that I really hate it when you say that? It sounds like I will be taking advantage of you. What if, in your time away, I were to learn that I am pregnant? Do I have to save the news until you return? What if something were to go wrong-Oh!" Amelia touched her forehead where Killian flicked her. "You are too strong to be flicking me on my head, Killian!"
"It is to help you stop overthinking. Nothing will go wrong in my absence. I will try to travel back to you as much as I can during my time away. I will try every night if you cling to me. There is just something good about having a woman desperately waiting for me to return from war. Tell me how much you’ll miss me," Killian said, leaning down to take advantage of her exposed neck.
"I don’t know about the desperate part, but I will be waiting for you. Wait!" Amelia exclaimed when his right hand was placed dangerously on her thigh. "We are not in our room."
"I was not thinking about making love to you here, but now that it is on your mind, I am aroused. I am not one who believes in only being intimate in our bedroom. You’d find that making love out in the open like this, with the thought of someone passing by to catch us, can be exciting. I can take us to a nice spot away from this cave," Killian’s words were like a feather against her skin.
Killian began to move his hand further, but Amelia held onto it.
"I don’t want to be seduced with Loki at my feet," Amelia said, looking down at the wolf, which had started to watch them. She wasn’t certain, but she got the feeling that he was annoyed.
Killian looked down at Loki, who should have had the sense to move. Asura had already wandered off. "You," he said to Loki. "Go away. Go eat someone."
Loki placed his head back on his paw to go back to sleep.
"When I finally want you to leave, now you want to stay, you bastard," Killian said, annoyed by the troublesome animal.
