The True Heiress Is The Real Bigshot Chapter 82

Chapter 82: 080 The First Hypnotist

Fu Yunshen had known the psychologist for several years, but this was the first time he had seen him wear such an expression.

As a hunter on the NOK Hypnotist rankings and a psychologist in his own right, he was absolutely flawless in controlling his expressions.

After all, a person’s microexpression, even if it flashed by for just 0.5 seconds, could be directly read by a hypnotist to reveal their inner thoughts.

A hypnotist could easily commit murder while performing deep hypnosis on others.

Fu Yunshen raised an eyebrow, his tone casual, “Who?”

The psychologist sighed softly, “One of my patients, I may not have seen her for a long time; I don’t know how she is doing now.”

He fell silent for a moment, then shook his head, clearly not wishing to elaborate further, so he changed the subject.

“I didn’t prescribe her any medicine because her situation is peculiar,” said the psychologist. “After all, these drugs related to mental and psychological health have significant side effects.”

Fu Yunshen merely hmmed lightly in response.

“However,” the psychologist paused, “she asked me to help treat her brother.”

Fu Yunshen looked up, leaning back, “What did you say?”

“I agreed,” the psychologist smiled. “But it’s not because of you, it’s because of her. You might not believe it, but her control over microexpressions is even stronger than mine.”

Fu Yunshen did not show any sign of surprise, only smiling, “It seems my little friend is indeed quite impressive, to have you convinced.”

Those hunters on the NOK forum, especially the top three on each list, couldn’t be persuaded by money.

Their whereabouts were elusive and mysterious.

Thus, even with a bounty of one billion US dollars, the top three hunters remained unmoved.

The difference between the third and fourth rank may only be one place, but the gap is immeasurable.

Not to mention the ones ranked first on each leaderboard.

The first on the Hypnotist list had never even shown his face, existing only in rumors.

The psychologist nodded, “Do you need hypnosis now?”

“No need,” Fu Yunshen stood up, his tone lazy, “I feel happier and recover faster when I’m with my little friend. It saves me from your hypnosis, and also saves my money.”

Ying Zijin took a class off for Wen Tinglan and took him to the psychology counseling room.

“Big sis,” the boy gripped the corner of her school uniform, his lips taut, “I don’t want to go.”

“It’s okay,” Ying Zijin patted his shoulder. “You don’t have to talk to him, just sleep. If you feel uncomfortable, you can beat him up.”

Wen Tinglan, feeling his sister was becoming more violent, “…”

In the end, Ying Zijin promised him an extra piece of cake every day, and only then did Wen Tinglan let go and enter.

Ying Zijin looked at the closed door, leaned on the railing, and gazed at the sky, “When he was five, his mother came back once, and then, he didn’t speak for five years.”

Fu Yunshen turned to her, “Uncle Wen’s wife?”

“Yeah,” Ying Zijin spoke indifferently, “My father got divorced when I was young. My father told me Xiao Lan has a sister who left with their mother and never came back.”

Wen Fengmian never mentioned it, and too much time had passed, beyond her current calculation scope, so Ying Zijin didn’t know who Wen Tinglan’s biological mother really was.

There was only a vague awareness that the woman probably couldn’t stand the poverty in Qingshui County and, not long after giving birth to Wen Tinglan, took all the valuable belongings and left with her older daughter.

A few days later, Wen Fengmian found her and took her in, despite being so poor he was barely able to feed himself.

Wen Tinglan’s autism was severe, and ordinary psychologists couldn’t just fail to treat him but might even worsen his condition.

But she had tested this psychologist yesterday, and he was passable.

Fu Yunshen fell silent for a moment, then smiled, “Yaoyao, don’t worry, it’s not too late for treatment now, you’ll get better.”

He softened his voice, “Your brother had it too, and he got through it just fine, so your little brother won’t have any problems.”

“Hm?” This was the first time Ying Zijin had heard him talk about the past, and she frowned slightly, “What happened?”

He was always smiling, and he controlled his micro-expressions very well.

So much so that she hadn’t noticed that he too had once suffered from autism.

“It’s nothing much,” said Fu Yunshen lightly, “Although you are gradually getting better, you still shouldn’t listen to stories with negative emotions. Once you’re well, your brother will tell you about it.”

Ying Zijin glanced at him and took out her cell phone.

Fu Yunshen was interested, “Yaoyao, what new web series are you looking at now?”

“No,” Ying Zijin opened the alarm clock app, “I’m setting an alarm.”

“To remind you not to forget,” she said leisurely, “you old man who’s five years older than me.”

The first hypnotherapy session yielded optimistic results, and Wen Tinglan’s mood improved a lot.

After scheduling the next treatment sessions with the psychologist, Ying Zijin returned to the Wen Family again to accept an invitation from Old Master Sheng.

Old Master Sheng’s full name was Sheng Qingtang, and he was a master of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy.

In his youth, he had been very famous in the industry, where a single piece of his calligraphy or painting could fetch millions of dollars to start with.

As an elderly man, however, he had taken up a reclusive lifestyle, living in a small villa in the eastern part of Shanghai City.

He tended flowers and grew vegetables.

Last time, Sheng Qingtang had even asked the director of Shao Ren Hospital to send her several baskets of fruits grown in his own garden.

He ended up in the hospital because a nearly seventy-year-old man still couldn’t stay still, climbing trees to pick fruit without being careful and falling down.

Especially since Sheng Qingtang didn’t believe in Western medicine, he had always refused to set foot in a Western hospital when sick.

“Miss Ying, we have not seen you for a while, I did not expect you to be so young,” said Sheng Qingtang as he stood up to meet the girl, exclaiming in admiration, “Indeed, a young talent.”

“You flatter me,” Ying Zijin nodded, “How is your health now?”

“Thanks to Miss Ying,” Sheng Qingtang became somewhat excited, “The qi and blood issues that I’ve had for many years are much better now.”

He had seen many traditional Chinese doctors, even in the capital, but had not encountered anyone with medical skills surpassing those of the girl.

Ying Zijin hesitated for a moment, then took out a pill, “Then you might also want to try this.”

“What is this?” Sheng Qingtang took it, nearly pressing his eyes against it in curiosity. Finally, slapping his thigh enthusiastically, he exclaimed, “I know, this must be the Elixir of Immortality from the TV shows!”

Old Master Sheng had been truly misled by TV dramas.

“No,” Ying Zijin shook her head slightly, “but it does have the effect of extending one’s life.”

“Ah,” Sheng Qingtang appeared visibly pained, sighing deeply, “It seems I can only dream.”

He pinched the pill, somewhat reluctant to eat it, but eventually he prepared to swallow it.

Before he could put it in his mouth, a loud cry of shock and anger came from outside the door.

Someone rushed in and slapped the pill away.

Then, turning sharply to look at the girl, his eyes filled with loathing, “What are you trying to give my dad to eat? What are you thinking?!”
