Looking at his hand tightly gripping her waist, Ye Ranran felt all the chill in her heart dissipating.
Even if the whole world betrayed her, Jun Mochan was still by her side.
"There’s a car blocking the road up ahead." Ah Chuan got out of the car.
A camper van was blocking the road. Before Ah Chuan could knock, someone came out from inside - who else but Feng Xi?
"Ask your president to come out." Feng Xi was addressing Ah Chuan, but she was looking at the car door.
Ah Chuan looked at her without changing expression: "Sorry, Mr. Jun won’t see you."
"You didn’t even ask him. How do you know he won’t see me?" Seeing the contempt in Ah Chuan’s eyes, Feng Xi’s face darkened.
"Ah Chuan, ignore unnecessary people and let’s continue on our way." Jun Mochan’s voice sounded, whether he heard Feng Xi’s voice or not was unknown.
Since Jun Mochan had spoken, Ah Chuan didn’t need to continue the conversation. He got back in the car and closed the door.
Feng Xi tried to open the bottom car door, but no matter how hard she tried, it wouldn’t open.
Just as the car was about to leave, she spread her arms wide in front of the car: "Jun Mochan, I need to talk to you."
"Whatever you want to discuss, you can discuss it with me." Ah Chuan lowered the car window.
"What are you hiding inside?" Feng Xi tried to peek inside.
Expecting to be recognised, Ye Ranran quickly turned her head away.
Jun Mochan got out of the car, his tall and slender figure leaning lazily against the car door: "If it’s proper business, please discuss it with my assistant. If it’s personal, I’m sorry, no discussion. I’ll give you another chance. Bear the consequences if you don’t leave."
When he finished talking, Jun Mochan got back into the car and Ah Chuan immediately stepped on the accelerator.
Seeing the Maybach coming quickly towards her, Feng Xi plopped down on the ground in fright. The luxurious car brushed past her.
"Do you know Feng Xi?" He asked in a questioning tone, with a definite statements.
"We’ve met before and had one or two collaborations." Jun Mochan said nonchalantly.
Ye Ranran laughed: "It looks like Mr. Jun loves to use this as an excuse or reason."
Her sarcastic tone caused Jun Mochan to lift his head, the ice in his eyes had not yet thawed: "Mrs. Jun, I think you have forgotten your duty."
Jun Mochan was referring to the fact that she had turned her head away earlier, but Ye Ranran misunderstood and promptly closed her mouth.
Seeing her indifferent manner, Jun Mochan sighed: "Don’t you have anything you want to say to me?"
"What does Mr. Jun want me to say?" Ye Ranran was confused.
"My relationship with her was indeed just two collaborations, I first met her four years ago on a plane. I didn’t lie to you."
"Even if I lie to others, I will never lie to you."
His gentle tone and warm voice soothed Ye Ranran’s discomfort and sadness.
"What did you mean by what you said earlier?" Ye Ranran recalled his accusations and was still feeling a little upset.
Jun Mochan lifted her chin: "How did Mrs. Jun react when someone came to confront your husband?"
"I did promise you, but we are legally married. There’s no need for secrecy. You are Mrs. Jun. No one can make you feel wronged and you don’t need to tolerate anyone, understand?"
Jun Mochan’s words seemed to have a magical power, sweeping away the gloom in Ye Ranran’s heart caused by seeing the person she didn’t want to see.
"I understand." A smile appeared on Ye Ranran’s face.
Her blooming smile left him dazzled. His face, unconsciously, began to lean towards her bit by bit.
