Jun Mochan had intended to go find Ye Ranran immediately, as she must have misunderstood him for not taking her along last night.
He needed to explain, bu unexpectedely on his way he stumbled upon the hubbub of tabloid news.
Everyone knew how virtuous he was, and because of that, they all believed the scandal surrounding him.
A chill spread over Jun Mochan’s face as he quickly called Ye Ranran.
A cold female voice from the phone repeatedly informed him that the user had turned off her phone.
Jun Mochan was so angry that he threw his phone.
He went to the film crew and headed straight for the dressing room, but unexpectedly ran into Feng Xi in the makeup room.
Seeing Jun Mochan, Feng Xi jumped up excitedly, "Mochan, you’re here."
"I didn’t expect you to come and see me so early in the morning, I’m very happy." Feng Xi wrapped her hand around Jun Mochan’s arm.
He shook her off forcefully, and Feng Xi, caught off guard, fell back into her chair.
"Mochan, what’s wrong?" Feng Xi looked at him incredulously.
Jun Mochan’s expression was dangerous: "I better not find out that the incident from last night had anything to do with you, otherwise..."
Feng Xi was confused: "Last night’s incident? What happened last night?"
"Look up the news online yourself." Jun Mochan walked in.
Feng Xi blocked his path: "Do you think I tipped off the reporters?"
"Whether you did or not, I will find out." Jun Mochan pushed past her.
Feng Xi persisted again: "I really like you, but I wouldn’t do such a despicable thing."
"Let go." Jun Mochan finally stood still.
Instead of letting go, Feng Xi wrapped both her arms around Jun Mochan.
"I really like you, I liked you from the moment I saw you." Feng Xi hugged Jun Mochan’s neck, pressing her entire body against him.
Just as Jun Mochan was about to push her away, the door was opened from inside.
"Sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb both of you." Ye Ranran kept her head down and quickly walked out.
Ye Ranran just came to see if the male and female leads had arrived. She hadn’t expected to see this.
Seeing Ye Ranran, Jun Mochan subconsciously tried to push Feng Xi away, but she clung to him like an octopus.
Her strength was surprisingly strong.
Unable to break away for a moment, he shouted while struggling: "Ranran, Ranran."
His gentle voice, like that of someone coaxing an annoyed lover, was filled with affection.
Ye Ranran was immensely irritated and started to walk away even faster.
Just as she escaped from the makeup room and hadn’t left the filming area, someone ran over from the side.
Ye Ranran dodged instinctively, and the person flung at thin air before falling to the ground.
Upon closer look, Ye Ranran saw that it was Ling Yun.
Her face was ghastly pale, her clothes tattered and dirty. Was this the glamorous woman she had first met?
"What do you want with me?" Ye Ranran crossed her arms and looked down at her.
Struggling to get up, Ling Yun said, "Ye Ranran, will you be satisfied only after destroying me?"
Looking at Ling Yun’s miserable appearance, a smirk appeared on Ye Ranran’s face. "It seems like you still haven’t figured one thing out – no one can destroy you apart from yourself."
"By the way, you’ve also harmed those who helped you."
The cutting sarcasm, like a needle, pierced right through one’s heart. Where was the gentle elegance she used to possess?
Ling Yun never thought the day would come when Ye Ranran would be so aggressive.
"No, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be in this mess. Everything is because of you," Ling Yun shouted.
Ye Ranran didn’t want to argue anymore, "You can think whatever you like."
