Her expression infuriated Ye Tianjing. He stood still, forcing a smile as he looked at Ye Ranran, "Ranran, I am your brother."
"My mother only had me, where did this brother come from?" When he and Ye Tianjiao sent her to Xie Yuan’s bed, their sibling relationship was finished.
"Do you have to say that?" Ye Tianjing looked hurt.
Ye Ranran turned to leave: "If you came to find me today just to say these things, then I don’t think there’s much left to say between us."
"Wait." Ye Tianjing grabbed Ye Ranran’s wrist.
Ye Ranran tried to shake him off, but his grip only tightened.
"If there’s something you need to say, say it quick. I’m busy and don’t have time." Ye Ranran said impatiently.
"Did you set Tianjiao up?" He questioned with certainty, indicating that he believed she was involved.
Ye Ranran laughed sarcastically, "If you already think it was me, why bother asking?"
Ye Tianjing scrutinized her, "It really wasn’t you?"
"If I say it was me, what would you do? If not, would you believe me? Instead of wasting time here with me, better think about what to do next."
"The photos are real, and the events aren’t fabricated."
Seeing Ye Ranran utter those words in such a soft tone, Ye Tianjing looked at her unbelievingly, "Ranran, how have you become ?"
"So, what do you expect me to do? Like before, whenever you guys come looking for me, I’d run up obediently? Ye Tianjing, I’m married now."
"There’s a saying, like pouring out water, once done, can’t be undone. Let alone when you guys used me over and over again. I’d be a fool to help and indulge you."
She wasn’t stupid. After falling once, she wouldn’t fall in the same place a second time!
"I apologize for the things I’ve done before. I didn’t come here today to rehash the past, only this time, you’re the only one who can help me." Ye Tianjing pleaded.
Ye Ranran didn’t want to hear him, "Sorry, I can’t help. You should find someone else."
"The banks are refusing Ye’s loans. With Tianjiao embroiled in this mess and Ye’s already on shaky ground, things are dire. Please, get Jun Mochan to help." Ye Tianjing spoke rapidly.
The more he spoke, the tighter his grip. Ye Ranran felt her wrist was in pain and probably bruised.
"Let go of me." Ye Ranran cried out.
Seeing her pained expression, Ye Tianjing loosened his grip slightly, "I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you."
Jun Mochan sat in the car waiting. Not seeing Ye Ranran come after a while, he got out of the car, frustration burning inside, and returned the way he came.
He had only gone a few steps when he saw Ye Ranran being pestered by Ye Tianjing. His face twisted in anger.
"Let her go." Jun Mochan grabbed Ye Ranran’s wrist and easily freed her from Ye Tianjing’s grasp.
Seeing him, Ye Ranran’s eyes lit up with surprise. Without saying a word, she simply leaned on him.
She clutched Jun Mochan’s hand,"You wanted to ask for his help, right? He’s right here in front of you. You can speak with him yourself."
Ye Tianjing tugged the corner of his mouth, "Brother-in-law."
"I don’t have a little brother-in-law who wants to break up my marriage." Jun Mochan spoke casually, but his words were laced with sarcasm.
Ye Tianjing tensed up, unsure how to respond.
