"Gao Han, she’s already someone else’s wife. Can’t you see the reality?" Ye Tianjiao looked at their tightly clasped hands, her face twisted with displeasure.
She couldn’t understand what was so special about Ye Ranran. In terms of beauty, she was no match for her; in terms of talent, she couldn’t compare either.
Why did all these men cling to her as if she was the only woman in the world?
"This is our business. You need not worry," Gao Han retorted coldly.
Seeing the disgust on his face, Ye Tianjiao felt deeply sarcastic, "What? You dislike me that much now? You can’t stand seeing me?"
"If you already know, why ask?" Gao Han looked away, unwilling to gaze at her face that disgusted him even with a mere glance.
"What about my sister, Ranran? Doesn’t she have anything to say to me?" Ye Tianjiao turned her gaze to Ye Ranran.
She detested her sister’s aloof demeanor, appearing as if nothing in the world deserved her attention.
Even when she snatched away the man Ye Tianjiao liked, Ranran hardly showed any emotion.
"What do you expect me to say? Should I kick you while you’re down or clap for you?" Ye Ranran retorted.
"Did you know? I hate your pretentious attitude the most," Ye Tianjiao glared at her with hatred.
Seeing her resentment against Ranran, Gao Han raised his hand threateningly, "Sign the agreement immediately, or dare uttering another nonsense."
"You want to hit me?" Ye Tianjiao looked at him in disbelief, "Gao Han, you’re planning to hit me?"
"I didn’t want to be so ruthless, but you forced my hand," Ye Tianjiao lifted her chin high, meeting Gao Han’s gaze defiantly.
"Ye Ranran, don’t think that he can’t live without you! Even if you return to him, he might not treat you well, because he’s involved with someone else."
"He’s been sleeping with his secretary, they’re together, they’re..."
"Slap." Gao Han’s hand met her face, immediately turning it red.
Seizing the moment, Ye Ranran took her hand from Gao Han’s grasp, wanting to flee. However, the bodyguards immediately blocked her path.
"Gao Han, you dare to slap me. Have I been too soft on you?" Ye Tianjiao touched her flaming cheek, eyes ablaze with anger.
She lunged at him without hesitation, gripping Gao Han wildly.
Gao Han tried to pull her off, but Ye Tianjiao clung onto him like an octopus. Left with no choice, he shouted at the bodyguards, "What are you waiting for? Get this woman off me already!"
The bodyguards exchanged glances, leaving Ye Ranran and hurried to help.
The scene was incredibly chaotic as Ye Ranran slipped past the bodyguards.
Her long hair was disheveled, looking like a bird’s nest.
While untangling the hair from her neck and mouth, Ye Ranran made her way towards the cashier’s counter.
"Ma’am, could I borrow your phone to make a call? I left my phone in the car," Ye Ranran pleaded with the cashier, joining her hands together.
"Oh, sure." The cashier handed her phone to Ye Ranran from her pocket.
Ye Ranran quickly dialed Jun Mochan’s number. Fortunately, she had memorized his number recently; otherwise, she would be in a real bind now.
"Hello." Hearing an unfamiliar number, Jun Mochan’s voice was gentle yet indifferent.
His voice was like music to Ye Ranran’s ears: "Honey, it’s me."
"Ranran? Where are you? Is everything okay?" As soon as he heard Ye Ranran’s voice, Jun Mochan bombarded her with questions.
Just before Gao Han took her away, Ye Ranran had been texting Jun Mochan, saying she would pick him up from work.
