Jun Mochan walked right past him, heading towards Ye Ranran.
He stood in front of her, taking stock of her before finally embracing her, "Are you okay?"
At the sound of his deep magnetic voice, Ye Ranran’s floating heart finally calmed down.
"I’m fine. I can protect myself now," Ye Ranran confidently said.
Jun Mochan flicked her thin hair: "Let’s go. Let’s head home."
Just like on their way here, Jun Mochan left in a hurry.
After dinner, and a shower, Ye Ranran was holding a magazine, resting her chin on her hand and sitting on the bed, lost in thought.
"What are you thinking about?"
So engrossed was she in her thoughts that she hadn’t noticed Jun Mochan approach. His sudden speech startled her.
"How do you walk so silently?" Ye Ranran complained.
Jun Mochan chuckled: "Isn’t it that you’re just too absorbed in your thoughts? Share with me. What’s troubling you?"
"Where did Gao Han get the money from to compete with you for that piece of land? I just checked, Gao Group’s stocks are going up recently. Why?"
"Are you worried about your ex-boyfriend?" Jun Mochan’s eyes narrowed.
Ye Ranran rolled her eyes at him: "I wish he went bankrupt. Who’s worrying about him?"
"Gao Han has recently found a venture capitalist. Though the Gao Group is in crisis and Gao Han’s character might not be up to par, he is undeniably talented,"
As long as one is talented, there will always be admirers.
"Furthermore, Gao Group hasn’t hit rock bottom yet. Even if it does, as long as he’s alive, there’s still a chance," Jun Mochan expressed profoundly.
Ye Ranran rubbed her chin with her fingers, "Do you think that the venture capitalist will still give Gao Han money when they see enmeshed with women and not focused on his business?"
"Planning to use yourself as bait? I’m warning you not to even entertain such a thought. What’s the harm in letting him jump around a bit more?" Jun Mochan’s voice turned cold.
Hearing his words, Ye Ranran felt sweet inside. She approached Jun Mochan and hugged him. "I’m not the one going after him, so why are you so anxious?"
"Then what’s your intention?"
"What about Wang Ya? If something happened to her, I wonder if Gao Han would get anxious."
It’s only a matter of trouble for Gao Han, it shouldn’t be too hard for her.
"My wife has become quite cunning." Jun Mochan held her in his arms, his fingers were playfully roaming her body.
Ye Ranran’s face slowly turned red as the serious conversation took a turn. She tried to pull away from Jun Mochan’s arms.
But it was too late, with a swift move, Jun Mochan had her underneath him.
"Get off me," Ye Ranran tried to push him, but to no avail.
Jun Mochan didn’t say anything. He just watched her silently.
"Um, I’m on my period." Ye Ranran blushed as she said it.
"I just find it cozy to talk , where is Mrs. Jun’s mind wandering to?" Jun Mochan watched her with an amicable smirk.
Ye Ranran glared at him resentfully. This man, always teasing her.
"Get off of me!" She forcefully pushed him away.
This time, she succeeded in toppling him over.
Jun Mochan, opening the bedside drawer, pulled out a few documents: "These are yours."
What Ye Ranran received wasn’t documents, but the property deed and land deed of the Ye family’s old house.
Her name was already written on them.
"Now it belongs to you. If you wish, we can spend two days a week over there."
Ye Ranran was at a loss for words, a simple ’thank you’ felt too insignificant.
