After sorting out the costumes for the next scene, Ye Ranran’s phone rang.
It was a call from the office, asking her to come over.
"Now?" Ye Ranran asked.
"Okay, I’ll be right there. By the way, does Luo Qi need to come with me?" Ye Ranran glanced at Luo Qi who was not far away.
"They didn’t say, just asked you to return immediately." The caller said matter-of-factly.
"Alright, I got it." Ye Ranran hung up the phone.
Luo Qi leaned over: "What’s up? Something went wrong again?"
"No, the office wants me to come over, I’m sorry for leaving you to handle everything here." Ye Ranran felt a little embarrassed.
She was often away, it seemed like she was slacking off too much.
"Don’t worry about it. I’m guessing your column is doing well, and the bosses want to commend you."
Ye Ranran took Luo Qi’s words as a joke, little did she know her words would become prophecy. The manager really called her over because of her column.
"As soon as the magazine came out, it sold out. The publisher, S.Z, said they’ve been receiving calls non-stop, asking where to buy the outfits." The manager said.
"I only do the sketches, the clothes are made by J.C." She reminded him, although she knew he already knew this.
"I know, but the outfits need time to be produced, so S.Z decided to publish an additional issue. This way, the outfits from both issues can be released together. What do you think?"
Two issues? She’s already preparing the design drafts for the next issue. An additional issue meant she needed to prepare two months’ worth of drafts in a month.
"I still have work for the drama crew..."
"Don’t worry about that, we’ll arrange people for you. You’ll still be credited as the chief designer, you don’t need to worry about that." The manager dispelled Ye Ranran’s concerns.
"That might work, but even if I draw them, the factory can’t produce them that fast." Ye Ranran frowned.
A well-crafted outfit couldn’t be made in a day or two.
"That’s where you need to communicate with Young Master Jun." The manager said with a sly smile.
No wonder he agreed so easily, he had set a trap here and was waiting for her to step into it.
Ye Ranran considered it before saying: "That’s not impossible, but I hope my outfits will be exclusively sold by J.C. And whether I will accept drafts in the future should be up to me. Is that okay?"
After this incident, her name had become well-known, though not internationally yet. She wanted to accept more high-quality projects in the future.
And design more upscale outfits.
The manager pondered for a moment before finally nodding: "Okay."
Just like that, the two reached an agreement.
No sooner had she left the manager’s office than her phone rang with a call from Jun Mochan: "Where are you?"
"At the office. Are you back at J.C.?" Thinking of the task the manager had assigned, Ye Ranran quickly asked.
Noticing the urgency in Ye Ranran’s voice, Jun Mochan chuckled, his voice brimming with amusement: "Why? Missing me?"
"No, I need to talk to you about something." Ye Ranran answered seriously.
"Really? Have you thought about what you can offer me in return?" Jun Mochan’s words were full of implication.
That flirt, Ye Ranran’s cheeks turned red: "We’ll talk when we see each other."
Jun Mochan would be there in ten minutes. Ye Ranran estimated it would take her five minutes to get there, so she could spend the leftover five minutes waiting for him.
Normally, he was always the one waiting for her, this time she would wait for him.
Unexpectedly, she ran into Gao Han just as she left the building.
He sprang out from the side with a large bouquet of flowers, startling Ye Ranran.
