Jun Mochan gave Ah Chuan a look, Ah Chuan nodded and waved at the bodyguard behind him.
The bodyguard stepped forward, parting the crowd, “Excuse me, make way, please.”
The sudden appearance of the bodyguard quieted the boisterous venue instantly.
A man in a suit and leather shoes, cool and ethereal, walked slowly from behind the bodyguard.
Like a god descending from the sky.
Everyone forgot to move, all staring blankly at Jun Mochan.
Jun Mochan removed Shi Yang’s hand, rescued Ye Ranran, lifted her onto his shoulder, and ordered Ah Chuan, “Handle the aftermath.”
“Jun Mochan, what are you doing?
Let me go.” Ye Ranran was not willing to be carried away by him , and she slapped his back hard.
Jun Mochan put her down from his shoulder and held her in his arms.
Due to the fight with Shi Yang, Ye Ranran’s hair was in disarray.
Her originally well-done make-up had completely worn off, her right eyelashes had fallen off, and the other one was on the verge of falling.
Seeing her in such a disheveled state, Jun Mochan was unable to express his reproachful words, but his face wasn’t pleasant either.
“If you continue to struggle, I won’t mind silencing you.” Jun Mochan leaned in close to her, just a bend away from kissing her lips.
Ye Ranran promptly gave up struggling.
Sitting in the car, Ye Ranran adjusted the hair blocking her face, looking out of the window without uttering a word.
Jun Mochan fastened her seatbelt for her, “You’re at fault and yet you’re creating a scene, is that right?”
Ye Ranran huffed, “I’m causing a scene?
Jun, whose husband are you exactly?”
“Would I have saved you if I weren’t your husband?” Jun Mochan’s words were cold, but his indifferent eyes betrayed his thoughts.
Ye Ranran didn’t understand why he was angry.
She should be the one who was angry, right?
“Who asked for your help?
I can handle it on my own.”
The sudden sharp braking sound rang out, and Ye Ranran instinctively leaned forward.
Without the safety belt, she would probably have been tossed out by now.
“Could you repeat what you just said?” Jun Mochan’s gaze was cold and dangerous, like a leopard ready to pounce.
Ye Ranran defiantly lifted her head, meeting his gaze, “You came and didn’t bother punishing those scumbags, but you’re actually angry at me?
Shi Yang imprisoned me and demanded that I only say what he wanted.”
“Isn’t this an outright insult to both of us?
I could only pretend to obey, secretly collecting evidence.
If he dared to hit me, I would not hesitate to fight him till the end in front of everyone.”
“What did I do wrong?
Tell me, what did I do wrong?”
Looking at the unyielding Ye Ranran, Jun Mochan’s heart softened and the icy light in his eyes disappeared.
“The only thing you did wrong was not calling me immediately.”
“I mentioned he had me locked up earlier, would he ever give me the chance to call?”
Jun Mochan’s face became cold in an instant.
The usual hint of a smile was gone from his face, replaced by absolute coldness, as if he was carved from ice at the peak of a tall snowy mountain.
Never melting, cold to the bone.
“I’ll take revenge for you on this.” Jun Mochan, eyes sharp, pulled out his phone, and dialed Ah Chuan’s number.
“Make a big deal out of this.
Tomorrow, I want to read about it on the news headlines.
Also, get me all of Shi Yang’s information.”
The icy voice was like a breeze blowing over Ye Ranran’s heart, scattering much of her resentment and indignation.
A single sentence smoothed over all of Ye Ranran’s resentment.
