"Don’t call me by my name." Jun Mochan tightly hugged Ye Ranran, without even sparing her a glance.
Xu Zi followed his gaze to see a bruise on Ye Ranran’s neck, a sense of triumph flashed in her eyes.
"Never thought you’d turn against me for a woman." Huo Yi took a deep look at Ye Ranran.
"I also didn’t expect that you, my elder brother, wouldn’t spare Ranran for the sake of sister-in-law. Do you want her to die that badly?" Jun Mochan choked out the words.
"Such a cruel and malicious woman is a disaster if kept around." Huo Yi’s eyes were filled with chilliness.
"I’ve said it, I believe she’s not like that. If she really is, I’ll take her away, far away from all of you. We won’t appear before you again. But today’s matter, I must investigate it thoroughly."
Jun Mochan slowly curled his mouth into a smirk, giving Xu Zi a meaningful smile.
"Come in." Jun Mochan said to the outsider.
A chubby man in his thirties appeared before them.
"No need for lengthy introductions, this is a detective from the national security bureau, elder brother, you recognize him, right?"
Huo Yi kept a poker face, with a dash of surprise in his eyes, seemingly confused about why Jun Mochan asked this man to be here.
"I asked him to help me investigate the incident nine years ago, while also having people follow Ranran to guard against those with ulterior motives trying to frame her. Detective Wang, why don’t you tell us what happened today?"
The man took out a stack of photos from his chest: "This is a photo of Mrs. Huo cutting the dress. Her method was quite covert, she almost fooled us."
