"Jun Mochan, get the hell out of here." Ye Ranran tossed the towel in her hand his way.
Jun Mochan laughed lightly, not looking at Ye Ranran’s flushed face again, and turned to the study.
Ye Ranran picked up the towel and headed for the bathroom.
After dumping the towel and clothes into the washing machine, Ye Ranran came back out.
The mother of Huo Family stood at the door, glaring at her with rage. Her aspect of hatred was as though Ye Ranran had killed her whole family.
"Aunt, is there something you need?" Ye Ranran replied. As long as the mother of Huo doesn’t recognize her, she won’t call her mom.
Otherwise, people might think she’s eager to be part of the Huo Family.
"Take this bowl of medicine to Xiao Shi."
Ye Ranran glanced at the bowl of medicine in Huo’s mother’s hand with suspicion.
She was planning to support Xia Shi, wasn’t she?
Seeing Ye Ranran’s hesitant look, Mrs. Huo was about to reprimand her, but surprisingly, Ye Ranran took the medicine: "Okay."
"I’ll go myself, Aunt, you can go rest," Ye Ranran said, turning to walk away.
Upon reaching the corner, Ye Ranran looked at the medicine in her hand and laughed silently.
A bit more chili powder, more mustard, soy sauce, sugar, add whatever you want.
Looking at the discolored medicine, Ye Ranran peeked outside, only quickly ascending the stairs to Xia Shi’s room once she saw no one was watching.
She didn’t care if it would be deadly, if it killed her, all the better. If it didn’t, at the very least it would cause her some pain.
She wasn’t going to be generous to a woman who had designs on her husband.
"Brother Mo Han." The moment the room door opened, Xia Shi’s eyes lit up.
But seeing it was Ye Ranran, her face immediately fell: "Why you?"
"Why shouldn’t it be me?" Ye Ranran set the medicine down on the bedside table.
Xia Shi struggled to keep her face calm: "I don’t want to see you. Get out."
"Don’t say it as if I want to see you. Someone asked me to take care of you, so I gracefully deigned to feed you your medicine."
Ye Ranran picked up the bowl of medicine, and the moment Xia Shi opened her mouth, she held onto her chin and poured it in.
The bowl of medicine, filled with all kinds of flavors, turned Xia Shi’s face an odd mix of colors—a real sight for sore eyes.
"Ye Ranran, you did this on purpose!" Xia Shi coughed heavily before finally regaining her voice.
Ye Ranran responded with a warm smile, "What about what you were doing? You think that wasn’t on purpose?"
They were equivalent in that regard, so why bother feigning innocence?
"Ye Ranran, I won’t let you off the hook," Xia Shi gasped in anger.
Ye Ranran looked at her with cold indifference: "I’ll be waiting."
As she set down the bowl and prepared to leave, the mother of Huo Family walked in from outside: "Xiao Shi, how are you? Feeling any better?"
"Mother Huo, this woman tried to poison me." Xia Shi cried and threw herself into Mrs. Huo’s arms.
Mother Huo, such deep love.
Ye Ranran sarcastically curled her lips.
Her heart was unusually calm. She had no regard for those who had none for her. There was nothing to be upset about.
Mother Huo glanced at the bowl of medicine and noticed the change in color. She instantly knew that Ye Ranran had interfered.
Such a restless woman.
"Stay right there." Mother Huo snapped frostily.
Was she stupid to just stand there and wait for a scolding? Ye Ranran continued to walk toward the door.
Angry, Mother Huo picked up the bowl from the bedside table and hurled it at Ye Ranran.
The sound behind her caused Ye Ranran to turn back, and as the bowl hit her forehead, blood immediately spread across her face.
She looked particularly horrifying.
Ye Ranran just stood there, her cold eyes watching them.
Mother Huo and Xia Shi were startled, stunned as they watched her.
