Jun Mochan seized Xia Shi’s wrist, squeezing slightly. Xia Shi winced in pain, releasing the door.
Jun Mochan proceeded to drag her outside.
"Brother Mo Han, do you have any idea how wicked that woman is? Why don’t you ask her what she’s really done?" Xia Shi yelled.
Jun Mochan really wanted to throw her down the stairs, but he held back.
He led her towards the front door, descending the staircase. As they reached the door, Xia Shi clung to it again: "Mrs. Huo, save me, please save me."
The noise happening within the hall, roused Mrs. Huo from her sleep. Wrapping a robe around herself, she opened her room door: "What on earth is going on in the middle of the night?"
"Mrs. Huo, please help me," Xia Shi pleading, as though she’d just grasped at a life-saving straw on seeing Mrs. Huo.
"Mo Han, what in the world are you doing? Where are you taking Xiao Shi in the middle of the night?" Mrs. Huo asked in surprise, quickly making her way down the staircase.
Jun Mochan gave them a half-smile, half-sneer look, "Today I am throwing this woman out. No one can stop me."
He spoke with an air of authority, perfectly fitting to Jun Mochan’s character.
"Mo Han, have you lost your mind?" Mrs. Huo rushed over, trying to snatch Xia Shi from Jun Mochan’s grasp.
As Mrs. Huo rushed over, Jun Mochan gave a slight tug and a throw, discarding Xia Shi as if she were trash.
"Mo Han, what are you doing?" Mrs. Huo rushed out, helping Xia Shi up from the ground.
This son was becoming increasingly disobedient. Everything was going fine before Ye Ranran came along, but everything has changed since her arrival.
Mrs. Huo blamed everything on Ye Ranran.
"This is my home, and I’m not welcoming towards her," stated Jun Mochan, clear as crystal.
"If you want to blame Xiao Shi for tonight’s incident, then blame me because I was the one who smashed everything," admitted Mrs. Huo, brazenly.
Jun Mochan’s lip corner twitched coldly, his eyes shimmering dangerously with murderous intent: "Mother, if you insist on sticking with her, I’ll find somewhere else for you to live, or perhaps you can go back to City B."
"What do you mean by that?" She was being driven out?
"Ranran really likes this villa. Since you dislike her so much, but at the same time, you’re my mother and I can’t treat you badly, I can only ensure that the two of you never meet."
Jun Mochan spoke as if it was a matter of fact, without any hint of guilt.
"After raising you all these years, is this how you repay me?" Mrs. Huo asked sternly.
"Anything that needed to be repaid, I’ve already done so." Any decision she made he accepted, even if it meant he was adopted into the Jun family and took over the family responsibilities.
He didn’t utter a word about it.
But he wanted to make a decision about his own marriage. He had the power to do that.
"There’s an apartment in the city center. I’ll have somebody take you there now." Jun Mochan dialed a number.
Soon after, someone roughly escorted Mrs. Huo and Xia Shi away.
"You unfilial son," Mrs. Huo cursed.
Unfilial? Maybe he was?
Turning around, he saw Huo Yi standing behind him.
"Brother, are you leaving today or tomorrow?" Jun Mochan asked with a stiff smile.
"For her, you plan to fall out with the family? The one who’s going to suffer in the end is Ye Ranran."
"I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying, brother. What have I done? Isn’t it normal for grown-ups to not live with their parents?"
"You should know, no one in our family approves of your engagement, and we both understand what’s waiting for Ye Ranran."
