"At the place you’re coming to." Ah Chuan answered honestly.
Luo Qi was enraged, "Why didn’t you mention it this morning?"
"You didn’t ask me, and you ran away so fast, I couldn’t catch up with you." Mainly because running after just finishing breakfast wasn’t good.
"Damn, what are your long legs for?" He should just keep rambling.
"So, you’re saying you’re short-legged?" Ah Chuan paused and replied.
Luo Qi: "..." How much I want to slap him!
Xue Xue had booked the office on the fifth floor. As soon as Luo Qi pushed the door open, she saw Ah Chuan sitting across from Xue Xue, talking to her in a low voice.
Ah Chuan’s features weren’t as delicate and perfect as Jun Mochan’s, but they were angular and distinct. He was side-on to her now.
She could only see his profile as a beam of sunlight streamed in from the window, highlighting his face.
Maybe it was the sunlight, but Luo Qi thought his ordinarily stern face had suddenly softened a lot.
The anger in Luo Qi’s heart disappeared all at once.
"You’re designer Luo, right?" A woman came over from the side.
She was in her thirties, hair done up, dressed in a formal suit, very capable looking.
"I’m Xue Xue’s manager, Sister Yang." The woman introduced herself and extended a friendly hand.
"Luo Qi." Luo Qi shook it politely.
"I know, Assistant Wen already mentioned it. It will be your turn as soon as the two finish their conversation. Have a seat here." The manager kindly attended Luo Qi.
One should never offend a designer from a big company, who knows when you might need a favor.
After about the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, Ah Chuan and Xue Xue finished their conversation.
"Designer Luo, it’s your turn." The manager signaled Luo Qi to take her place.
Being addressed as a designer for the first time, Luo Qi felt a bit nervous.
She held her design book in her hand, and took her laptop out of the bag.
However, for some reason, the computer suddenly wouldn’t turn on.
Luo Qi reflexively looked to Ah Chuan for help, but he wasn’t there.
"We have technical staff in our company, wait a moment. I’ll find someone for you." Sister Yang said.
"Thank you." Luo Qi said somewhat embarrassed.
Her family didn’t have much money. The computer she bought back in her sophomore year was now four or five years old and showing its age.
But she didn’t have the money to replace it, so she had to make do.
The technician arrived just as Ah Chuan returned. Seeing Luo Qi and Xue Xue hadn’t started yet, he walked over with his cellphone and asked, "What’s up?"
"Nothing, just that the computer broke down and it’s being repaired." Luo Qi said a bit frustrated.
"It’s a minor issue, it’ll be fixed soon." The man who was busy tinkering with the computer heard the frustration in Luo Qi’s voice and reassured her.
He looked quite ordinary; if lost in a crowd, he would be hard to spot. Yet, his comforting words moved Luo Qi a bit.
"It’s all good now." The man said after a couple of minutes.
"Thank you." Luo Qi thanked him, her face bright with a smile.
Seeing her smile so happily, Ah Chuan was a bit displeased. He silently turned around and made a call.
"I think this one is nice. Since it’s for the mall endorsement, the color of the clothes needs to match the background. Otherwise, it’ll overshadow everything." Luo Qi explained to Xue Xue.
The two of them spent a full hour discussing details before deciding in the last minute.
Luckily, Luo Qi had built up her stamina and patience when she ran around the filming set with Ye Ranran recently, so she didn’t feel too exhausted.
When they were leaving, Ah Chuan naturally left with her.
For some reason, Luo Qi kept thinking about the technician who’d helped repair her computer.
