"Slap." Xu Zi lashed out with a slap towards him.
"Who gave you the audacity? Are you asking for death?"
"I did." two voices announced in unison.
Ye Ranran’s hair was messy, covering half of her face. Her clothes were disheveled from the struggle, giving a glimpse of her chest.
Soup spilled on the sheets, creating a large stain where her arm lay.
Her white arm was appealing, it would have been even more so without the large red area on it.
Jun Mochan’s eyes swept around the room, finally resting on Xu Zi.
His picturesque features were draped in a frosty expression. The light illuminated his flawless face, creating a cold, jade-like shimmer.
"It seems I have been too indulgent with you."
Jun Mochan never thought he’d cared about anyone or anything – power, money, he could discard them all.
The only thing he wanted, the one he pursued, was Ye Ranran.
The one he wanted to protect the most was also Ye Ranran.
All his love, his care, his tenderness, were bestowed upon her.
He wished to proclaim to the world that Ye Ranran was his soft spot, his fatal weakness.

Xu Zi watched him fearfully: "Xiao Han, I’m your sister-in-law."
"Indeed, you are my sister-in-law, so I won’t kill you." Jun Mochan took steps towards her.
His chilly gaze and overpowering malice frightened Xu Zi.
"Go, bring me a bowl of hot soup." Jun Mochan ordered.
The housekeeper rushed downstairs.
Xu Zi had a bad premonition: "What... what are you going to do?"
The soup was quickly delivered to Jun Mochan, he held the bottom of the bowl: "How did you splash my wife just now? From this angle, you must have splashed it onto her face, right?"
"She’s fine." Xu Zi shouted.
The soup she had brought was already cooled, it didn’t harm Ye Ranran when splashed on her at all.
"Fine? Look at her hand, can you dare say she’s fine?" Jun Mochan’s veins bulged with anger stirred by this woman.
If it weren’t for Huo Yi’s fondness of her, he would have shot her dead and spared the eyesore.
Just as Xu Zi was about to retaliate, Jun Mochan was no longer in the mood to listen to her nonsense. He threw the soup at her.
"Ah." Xu Zi screamed in pain, covering her face with both hands.
"Throw her out." Jun Mochan flung the bowl towards Xu Zi.
Xu Zi stumbled and fell to the ground.
"I’ll arrange for a plastic surgeon for you. If your face is ruined, they’ll fix it for you." Jun Mochan’s ruthless voice echoed in the room as the servants dragged Xu Zi to the door.
Xu Zi was terrified, she had not expected Jun Mochan to actually splash her, especially with his fierce expression.
She didn’t doubt that he could kill her.
Xu Zi trembled with fear and resentment. Why? Why was Ye Ranran so lucky to have Jun Mochan, who cares for her so much?
She had been with Huo Yi for over nine years, and he never had her in his heart.
