A woman dressed in a white cotton and linen dress, stood under a tree, laughing brilliantly.
Her appearances and manner, were naive and gentle.
A head of black hair, like satin, cascaded over her shoulders, beautiful and serene.
This was clearly herself, during her college years.

The front door opened at that moment, and the man outside, upon seeing Ye Ranran within, paused for two seconds before enthusiastically greeting her, “Sister-in-law.”
“Who are you?” she asked.
“I am Zhou Xian, I spoke with you over the phone last time.”
Zhou Xian was handsome and sunny, like the boy next door, radiating confidence throughout his entire being, different from Jun Mochan’s warm and elegant demeanour.
Although Jun Mochan also presented a sense of gentleness, when you tried to get closer to him, you’d feel a sense of cold detachment seeping from his bones.
The Zhou Xian standing in front of her, however, was genuinely warm, making people drop their guard involuntarily.
“Jun Mochan is really not sincere.
He didn’t tell us brothers that he chased you until now, after so many years, he finally sees the moon after the clouds clear.” Zhou Xian casually sat down on a nearby sofa.
“What nonsense are you spouting now?”
Just as Ye Ranran was about to speak, an icy voice came from the doorway – who else could it be if not Jun Mochan?

Jun Mochan ignored him and looked at Ye Ranran: “How long have you been here?
Ye Ranran didn’t expect him to ask so bluntly.
If she said she didn’t miss him, she would definitely be punished at night.
If she said she did, there were others present, how could she say it out loud?
Her small face flushed bright red.
“You can ignore me.” Seeing Ye Ranran’s embarrassed expression, Zhou Xian promptly declared.
Jun Mochan’s piercing gaze shot over: “You had something for me?”
“Err, you guys talk it out, I’ll leave first.”

“She has just begun to accept me.
I don’t want to burden her.” Jun Mochan interrupted Zhou Xian mid-sentence, anticipating what he wanted to say.
Zhou Xian shrugged, “Alright, as you wish.
By the way, the folks at the old house have been asking about you, you must know, right?
I’ve already married her, why should I fear them knowing?
If anyone dares to touch her, I’ll fight with them.”
Seeing the somber expression on Jun Mochan’s face, Zhou Xian sighed.
They all knew of Jun Mochan’s devotion to Ye Ranran.
While he had been able to restrain himself when he couldn’t have her, now that he had her, his surging emotions were beyond control.
If those folks actually tried to stop him, Jun Mochan would probably do anything.
“No matter what, we brothers always stand by your side hoping you find happiness.
I’ll help you hold off the old house, but I can’t say for how long.”
“Thank you.” Jun Mochan’s expression returned to its usual serene self, the picture of an elegant gentleman.
