Ye Ranran hadn’t had a chance to rejoice when she felt a wave of heat surge from behind.
There wasn’t any heating in the room, where was this hot wave coming from? Ye Ranran turned around.
Wen Zhi was standing at the doorway with a lighter, and beside the door, a huge fire had already ignited.
"Ranran, get out," Chu Ji turned around, his face pale at the sight of the flaming blaze.
"Hahaha, you two might as well stay in there and become a pair of wild ducks," Wen Zhi laughed boisterously.
Ye Ranran ignored him, walked to the other side, and continued to unlock Chu Ji.
"Did you not hear me telling you to leave?" Chu Ji, with one hand freed, gently pushed her.
Even though he didn’t use much force, Ye Ranran almost lost her footing. She frowned and gave him a disapproving look, "Don’t be scared, I’ll get you out of here."
Where did she get that confidence from? Chu Ji was frantic.
"I’m begging you, please go."
"No." If she really died , it could be considered a relief.
At least she didn’t cowardly evade or choose suicide, instead, she chose to save someone.

They were all cut into segments, which appeared damp. She wasn’t sure whether Wen Zhi had brought them, or if they had always been there.
Before Ye Ranran could analyse the situation, Chu Ji pulled her up, "I’m really impressed, you can still space out at a time ."
Having not moved for a while, combined with his injuries, Chu Ji winced in pain as he abruptly stood up, the movement pulling at his wound.
"What’s the rush?" Ye Ranran steadied him.
And she wasn’t daydreaming; she was merely trying to find the best exit path.
Wen Zhi outside, laughing triumphantly, turned around. But before his chuckles could fully bloom, he found a cold gun barrel pressed against his head.
"Where is she?" One’s voice was icy cold.
Wen Zhi pointed to the burning hut, "In there, probably turned into a barbecue by now."
A bullet soundlessly penetrated Wen Zhi’s head. He fell to the ground, his body convulsing, before the spurts of blood could escape.
Without another thought, One charged into the burning hut. The flames were so intense that it had sealed off the inside from the outside.
One had been in there for some time, aimlessly charging about without finding Ye Ranran. The fire nearly singed his hair.
Unable to find Ye Ranran, One decided to leave before anything worse happened. He ran out.
He immediately plunged his head into the snow. Only after it was so numb that he had lost all feeling did he pull it out.
Turning around, he saw two figures emerging from the fire.
Ye Ranran was supporting Chu Ji, and Chu Ji was leaning on Ye Ranran. The two, just like that, crawled out from the burning flames.
