The Useless Heiress Is Actually A Bigshot Chapter 705

Chapter 705: Chapter 705 Expulsion Order

Taking a deep breath and calming her thoughts, Zhong Mengfan did not pursue the matter further. Instead, she looked at Zhong Niangyao and asked almost stubbornly, “You still have not answered my question from earlier.”

“Why must you know the answer so badly?” Zhong Niangyao responded indifferently, looking towards Zhong Mengfan. “Even if you knew, what could you do about it? That thing has already disappeared; what can you still do?”

“I don’t care, I just want to know. Is that not allowed?” Zhong Mengfan struggled to contain her emotions, but her voice involuntarily rose sharply. “It has disappeared, but what about my life? Now it’s all a mess because of her.”

“It’s not others who have ruined your life; it’s always been you.” Zhong Niangyao leaned back and looked at Zhong Mengfan, speaking languidly. “You know very well what kind of person you have always been. Like someone who, even if they do something wrong, blames everyone else. Do you really think that makes you likable?”

“Zhong Niangyao, you—”

Zhong Mengfan was furious. “What do you mean by that? Are you looking down on me?”

“I’m not looking down on you,” Zhong Niangyao shrugged and said, “More accurately, I have never cared enough to consider whether to look up or down on you.”

Such a response was worse than no response at all.

When Zhong Mengfan heard this reply, she could not help but feel a surge of resentment. However, before she could say anything, Zhong Niangyao spoke again.

“Zhong Mengfan, I really do want to know what exactly is going on in your head.” Zhong Niangyao looked at Zhong Mengfan, her face confused, but her words were laced with strong irony. “Since you were born, you’ve had a much better life than others. Growing up with luxury, lavished with money, adored by parents, and doted on by an elder brother. Many people dream of such a life! Yet, you always begrudge others their happiness. I really do want to know what you think.”

“Zhong Niangyao, on what basis do you say these things about me?” Zhong Mengfan glared at her fiercely. “Where have I gone wrong since childhood? I’ve diligently studied various arts and kept up with schoolwork. To everyone, I am the sensible heiress of the Zhong family. But in the eyes of Grandma and Grandpa, only you exist.”

“We are both their granddaughters, but in their eyes, you are the treasure, and I am insignificant. Zhong Niangyao, what skills do you have? You only bring shame to the Zhong family; you’re not even worthy to be called a daughter of the Zhong family.”

“Heh, Zhong Mengfan, your thoughts really are peculiar!” Zhong Niangyao scoffed. “Why Grandma and Grandpa adore me so much—others might not understand, but don’t you? My father disappeared, and my mother met an ill fate. For more than twenty years, I have never even seen my biological parents. That’s why Grandma and Grandpa are so biased towards me.”

“What, you want to experience this kind of love as well? It seems you really have no affection for your uncle and aunt to curse them like this in here.”

“Don’t talk nonsense,” Zhong Mengfan snapped, agitated. “When did I ever say those things? Don’t wrong me. I’m talking about you.”

“One can’t have it all,” Zhong Niangyao looked at Zhong Mengfan, her eyes mocking. “You want both your parents’ love and the favoritism of your grandparents. How is that possible? Be more realistic in life.”

Zhong Mengfan had no words to retort, but her expression clearly disagreed with Zhong Niangyao’s remarks.

Zhong Niangyao, well aware of what Zhong Mengfan was thinking, looked at her with a sharp gaze. “Zhong Mengfan, I’m not in the mood to keep arguing with you. I have a pretty good guess about why you came here today.”

“You’re here to hear the answer you want from me. The past soul has long since disappeared, and the disputes between you and your family are your own issues. If you want your uncle and the others to treat you well, then stop causing so much discontent.”

After saying this, she pointed to the door. “I have said all you wanted to know. But if you really want to change your family’s attitude toward you, that’s your own issue. Don’t bother me here anymore.”

After being given the eviction order by Zhong Niangyao, Zhong Mengfan’s expression became even uglier. She didn’t want to leave, but seeing Zhong Niangyao’s stern expression, she didn’t dare to push further.

Reluctantly leaving, but faced with Zhong Niangyao’s strong attitude, Zhong Mengfan didn’t dare to stay any longer.

However, just as Zhong Mengfan got up to leave, Zhong Niangyao spoke again, her words this time somewhat strange. “Zhong Mengfan, just take good care of yourself! You should maintain your health from now on; a poor constitution isn’t good either.”

These odd words left Zhong Mengfan completely puzzled and slightly uneasy. She immediately asked, “Zhong Niangyao, what do you mean? Am I going to have an accident?”

She always felt that Zhong Niangyao’s profoundly meaningful words were not just superficial, but also had a deeper layer related to herself, though she couldn’t pinpoint what it was.

Zhong Niangyao, as if she hadn’t heard Zhong Mengfan’s question at all, pointed to the door again. “It’s getting late, I need to rest now, you should leave quickly!”

Zhong Mengfan still stubbornly wanted an answer. But since Zhong Niangyao wasn’t even looking her way anymore, she knew there wouldn’t be any answers forthcoming.

So, in the end, she restrained herself. Then, with a fierce stomp and a cold snort, she left, flipping her sleeves.

Perhaps as a protest, as she left, she slammed the door hard, creating a jarring noise.

On the other side, Zhong Niangyao, aware of Zhong Mengfan’s childish actions, was not bothered. At this moment, her brows were furrowed as she looked in the direction Zhong Mengfan left, a flash of perplexity in her eyes, seemingly troubled by something.
