The room was familiar and cozy in its arrangement.
Caleb Shaw remained at her bedside, never having left.
Seeing that she was finally awake, he immediately handed her a prepared cup of hot tea.
"Female Master, thank you for willing to forgive us."
He paused briefly.
"Even without a child, I would always stay by your side. Next time, no need to use the child as an excuse, just say the word, and we’ll comply unconditionally."
Selene gently sipped the hot tea.

Hearing about conceiving within a day, she probably would have already called the police and demanded a thorough investigation.
Leaning against the soft pillow, she spoke softly: "I want to start my own business."
Caleb almost instinctively blurted out.
"No way."

"Earning and striving for money is something the male master should do, how could a noble Female Master endure such hardship?"
"Females just need to..."
Selene interrupted him directly.
"Just stay at home and have babies, right?"
