Chapter 29: What She Was Like in Her Dreams

In the large room, Nanny Liu is dozing offona sofa when Brian comes in. Seeing him she gets up quickly.
“Shhh —” Brian reaches out and motions toNanny Liu not to make noise.
He walks gently to the bedside and seesthe little kid lying on the bed with his eyes closed tightly. It seems there are still tears onhis long eyelashes, and his small mouth also pouts. He looks very much wronged.
Brian stands there and looks at him quietly. Nelson’s eyebrows and eyes look like his. When he was a child, he would frown tightly once he was upset.
He bends over, slowly reaching out to touch his small childish face, and gently smooths his eyebrows.
Nelson’s body is shocked with Brian’s gentle touch, and he mutters in a low voice, “Mom, why doesn’t dad protect me, mom…”
Brian stands there with his outstretched hand stiffened, and then his brain remains blank for a long while.
Nelson is still mumbling with a crying voice, and tears are still hanging in his closed eyes.

Florence Li grabs the servant’s hand , begging her.
The servant lowers her head for a moment and finally says, “Little young master and Nanny Liu were in the biggest room, but they should have gotten up now.”
“Get up now?” Li doesn’t understand what happened.
“Yes, Mr. Si took him away early in the morning. Rodney should also be about to leave at the moment.” Says the servant.
“Where had he been?” Florence suddenly feels nervous and her tone becomes anxious.
“We can’t ask about Mr.Si’s itinerary.” Says the servant, looking down.

Li frowns , turns around and runs downstairs.
“Brian, if you hurt Nelson, I will fight with you forever!”
Florence Li runs on and does not realize her shoes have fallen until she gets to the living room and sees Rodney who is giving orders to servants.
“Rodney, where did Brian take Nelson?”
Li holds the escalator handrail and stares at Rodney and asks with a strong tone with her brown hair in disorder.
“Mr. Si took the young master……” Rodney is about to say something but his words are interrupted by Florence Li who has just run downstairs.
“If he hurts Nelson, I will not let him go even if I die!”
Hearing that, people present including Rodney stare at the woman who wears only one shoe with messy hair, and she could even be described as a raunchy woman.
“Mr. Si and young master are on the lawn behind the villa. Maybe they are playing sports.” Rodney sighs helplessly and points to the back.
“Sports?”
It seems that she has heard something unbelievable, therefore, she stands up, opens the door and walks to the lawn outside.
There are no dark clouds in the sky, and the sun shines on the gushing fountain, which has given birth to a beautiful rainbow in the sunshine.
The air in the villa in the early morning is very fresh, which makes people refreshed and happy.
As soon as she goes out, a few giggles come, and it is Nelson.
She quickens her pace and sets out in the direction of the place where the voice comes from. From a distance, she sees Rodney riding on Brian’s shoulder on the broad lawn. They are very happy.
If you look at such a picture, ‘happiness’ must be used to describe that scene.
This scene once appeared in her dream, and even at this moment she is a little muddled and feels that everything is so unreal.

Nelson sees her standing there, reaching out his little hand to say hello to her in the distance.

Florence Li turns around and points to Brian, looking at the back of Nelson, she feels angry but confused.
Why is Nelson so quiet today? He doesn’t cry for her at all.
Why doesn’t he rebel when Brian plays with him? Moreover, he looks happy.
Florence Li wants to get the answer quickly. She turns around and quickly follows them back to the villa.
Soon Nelson follows Nanny Liu upstairs, but Li is stopped as soon as she comes back to the living room.
In the living room, the servants keep walking back and forth. Seeing Li staring at Brian, they secretly laugh.
“You’ll cook lunch today.”
Brian closes the documents in his hand, saying with a deep and magnetic voice. His handsome face remains expressionless.
“Why me?”
Florence Li is still depressed about her son. How could she have any idea of cooking?
