"Li Xingwan!!!" Mrs. Liu’s voice nearly tore through the dinner party. "You!! How could you tell her!?"
As she spoke, she ran outside.

"Hey, Xingwan. Want to come sit with us?" A few ladies with children waved at her.

Some of them had a gleam in their eyes. "Yeah, we were just thinking of playing some games with the kids, want to join us?"
"Yeah, Xingwan, come and join us."
"We’ve only seen you on those variety shows being so awesome with the kids. Never experienced it in real life."
Hearing this, Mrs. Fu quietly decided not to go over.
She even started thinking carefully about the past few decades. Whether she had anything she needed to clear up, lest Xingwan expose her too.
"Sure, why not." Li Xingwan had been busy lately and hadn’t spent much time with Little Mobao. Since they were inviting her, she sat down.
"How about this? Let’s play a game where we write characters on our palms and guess what the kids wrote?"
Li Xingwan had no issue with that. She immediately closed her eyes and opened her palm. Little Mobao thought for a moment and wrote a very complex character in her hand. "淼 (Miao)."
Li Xingwan guessed it right away. "淼 (Miao)?"
"Correct, correct!" Little Mobao was delighted. He then wrote another one. "鑫 (Xin)."
Li Xingwan also guessed it in a second. "鑫 (Xin)?"
"Correct, correct, it’s 鑫 (Xin)!" By now, Little Mobao was getting very excited. "Mommy, let me write another one, another one."
He wrote another character in Li Xingwan’s palm. "墨 (Mo)."
This time, Li Xingwan burst out laughing. "You wrote ’墨 (Mo)’ this time."
"Haha!" Little Mobao laughed even more joyfully. "Yeah, I wrote my ’墨 (Mo)’ character in Mommy’s palm."
Everyone watching this scene was filled with envy.
This was closer than any parent-child relationship they’d seen.
Some of the other ladies’ expressions shifted slightly. "Isn’t Little Mobao writing characters that are too simple?"
"Yeah, how about this one, Little Mobao?" One of them suggested an obscure, rarely-seen character.
Little Mobao glanced at it, then looked at his mommy. "You just want us to lose, don’t you?"
The ladies forced a laugh. "How could that be?"
"That can work too," Little Mobao said. "But then you have to write the characters I pick later."
When the others heard this, their faces fell. Their own kids didn’t even recognize many characters yet.
"It’s just about guessing the characters written on the palm. Whether they know it or not doesn’t matter," Little Mobao quickly added.
The ladies had no choice but to agree. Little Mobao then wrote the obscure character in Li Xingwan’s palm. 駃 (Que).
Li Xingwan immediately guessed. "駃 (Que)?"
Their faces all changed. How could she guess that too?
How many characters does Li Xingwan actually know?
Did they pre-arrange this?
But thinking it through, that didn’t make sense; this wasn’t a variety show, and they had chosen the characters themselves.
Even over there, someone next to Mrs. Fu commented, "Mrs. Fu, your granddaughter-in-law and great-grandson seem so close."
