As soon as the Cold Palace Gate opened, Emperor Yongning waved his hand, and all the Imperial Guards behind him rushed into the Cold Palace. They searched every nook and cranny, inside and out, and then dragged out that slippery little rascal who had repeatedly toyed with Emperor Yongning yet was as elusive as an eel.
Jun Ning hadn’t expected this at all. He was just planting vegetables and had no idea what was happening outside until he was hoisted onto a shoulder by a group of burly men who stormed in, his vegetable seeds scattering on the ground because he hadn’t held them properly.
Jun Ning looked at the scattered seeds on the ground with a pained expression.
If these seeds had grown into vegetables, they would have fed him and his mother for a long time.

In his desperation, he pulled the guard’s hair and bit his ear, using every means he could think of.

Jun Ning unexpectedly slid off the guard and fell, his butt aching a bit. But he didn’t care and immediately got up and ran towards Qiong Hua. Once he reached her, he looked at her bleeding palm, tears of heartache streaming down his face.

Jun Ning blew on Qiong Hua’s bleeding wound.
